First the good, the people running the place are very kind and helpful. The nice, clean atmosphere is what you would expect from a take out Chinese restaurant. They even sell a few anime items at the counter.
I was disappointed in the food. I got the pork fried rice but it ONLY had rice and pork. Chinese Fried rice always has meat and at least a few veggies, such as onion, carrot and/or celery. It was dark in color from the soy sauce but for some reason very little flavor. I brought it home and cooked up some veggies and added a good soy sauce and it was much better. I got the pork egg roll but I think it was a pre made frozen one because of the way the pork was. It was nice and crispy but the flavor was just ok. The duck sauce in the packets was also low on flavor, which is not their fault but perhaps get a different brand like Yi Pin? Sadly, I had to throw away the egg drop soup. It had so much corn starch in it that the texture was too slimy and I just couldn't eat it.
Perhaps I just got an off day with them. I will still try again and...
Read moreI don’t like to give bad reviews, but this place was disappointing. Overpriced for the quality and quantity. Had to throw most of it out. The sweet and sour sauce will give you diabetes before you know it. There is no chicken in the sweet n sour chicken, all batter. The vegetable lo mein barely had veggies. You know the owners are not eating this food, therefore, why would you? Step up your game and change your quality if you want to stay in business. Friendly...
Read moreA real NYC-like Chinese restaurant in the Lake George/Schroon Lake area. They told me that they were originally in Brooklyn. There are a few tables but their business is mainly take-out and the menu is mostly Chinese dishes but there are also some traditional Thai dishes as well. We had steamed pork dumplings, egg drop soup, sweet and sour shrimp, General Tso's chicken and a house special lo mein. Jin's is a welcome addition to the...
