Have gone to China Gourmet for several years, but no longer after today's experience. Called in my order, and as is customary, they took my phone number with my order. When I went to pick up my order they asked for my phone # and then named a couple of items from my order which I confirmed. I paid and headed home only to get a call from them as I walked in the door, Accusing and blaming me of TAKING the wrong order, which they handed me. Granted, I should have checked it before I left the place, but I figured they had their stuff in order. They were very rude on the phone, telling me that I shouldn't have agreed to an order that wasn't mine, and that I need to come back to the store immediately to exchange it. I explained to them that they confirmed my number, and a couple of items of the order, which ironically were also included in the order they gave me. Again, they were accusatory saying "you shouldn't have agreed to an order that isn't yours.", as if I wanted an order that wasn't mine?!!! I told them they should delivery the right order to me and exchange it, since it was their error. They said that would be an extra charge, which I disputed, explaining again that it was their error. Again, they were very rude. I reluctantly went back to the store to get my order, and it's NOT READY! 20 minutes after I had originally left and 30 minutes after ordering! And nobody was there waiting for the wrong order that they gave me. Then they tried to tell me I owe them more money because my order cost more, which I confirmed with them on the phone where they said I paid for the right order but TOOK the wrong one. Needless to say, I did not pay the different and will NEVER be a customer of theirs again. Horrible customer service. Read moreI was visiting my 86 year old father and he decided to have China Gourmet, which he has been getting delivery from for years, deliver some food. He was told it would be delivered in 40 minutes, but delivery took 90 minutes. This place is 5 miles or 9 minutes away according to Google maps. A female delivery person showed up with 2 bags of food and after my dad gave her a $5 tip, she nastily told him that the drive to his house was too far and he should give her a bigger tip. When he said that they have been delivering to him for years with absolutely no problem and she wasn’t going to get a bigger tip (what?…. For being obnoxiously rude to a long time customer?), she told my father not to call China Gourmet again. So, I am telling everyone…. DON’T ORDER FROM THIS RUDE...

I told them I didn't have cash on me. THE OLDER WOMAN BEHIND THE COUNTER WENT NUTS! She started yelling in her native language, about my purchase. I asked the kid what she was saying, the kid kept saying. NO CREDIT CARD, UNDER 10 BUCKS. The woman would not stop yelling, while looking down at me.
