Simply Greek — Restaurant in Town of Smithtown

Would be 5 stars except I’ve gone back a second (and third) time. Would give zero stars if I could. The first experience was dine in was great and then things got worse and worse. The second time we went for happy hour and the owner had no idea what the happy hour timeframe was , even when the sign was pointed out he disagreed. Then he served the most vile drinks we have ever experienced, blackberry muddled seed filled ginger beer horrific ness. And then when I asked about the high price of the bill, because it’s happy hour, he offered to “break it down” so I could “understand it better”. So now we refuse to dine in because of him, but we did order out. NEVER AGAIN. My “Greek salad” consisted of TWO olives, almost zero feta and little of much except for lettuce. WHO THE HELL PUTS ONLY TWO OLIVES IN A GREEK SALAD? This place gets cheaper and worse by the week. So sad. It had potential. But the dressing is good, there’s that. And at least there wasn’t...

Updating my 4-star review to 5. SG was always good but on my latest visit the new chef’s attention to detail and plating was an obvious upgrade. I wish I’d taken photos of my friend’s and my beautifully-composed lunch platters and will definitely do so next time. Greek salads that came with our meals were the size of main courses, liberally studded with sparkling-fresh feta, olives, and a house made stuffed grape leaf. Felafel was crisp outside, creamy and well-seasoned inside, and my friend loved her roasted eggplant. We were unable to finish the huge portions and the chef insisted on sending us dessert, toothsome Greek pastries. The wonderful fragrance on the street was what brought me in there! These guys know how to cook and the souvlaki was unbelievable! Best of luck fulfilling the kings park folk with your wonderful food! I enjoyed mine past the stars!!!

This is my 2nd post They give you soooo much food and the know how to cook! What a wonderful place we have in Kings Park! It’s about time!!! A really good Greek place and the owner Alex Statathos is a gentleman!!
