Weinisch's Deli — Restaurant in Town of Smithtown

The guy that owns this place has a serious attitude problem. I had zero money on me and was hungry, so I asked him how much the service fee on the ATM machine was. After he told me, I started to make my way to it to pull some cash, and, clearly mistakenly assuming I'm leaving, he barks at me that I could go across the street if I wanted instead. "What's across the street?" I asked. "NOTHING!", he replied.

Needless to say, rather than pull cash and buy food, I left and went somewhere else. This wasn't the first time this guy was rude, but it was the last time I walked into his store.

And if the owners ever read this comment, you should know that the sentiment above is shared in that large office building next door. You may think the convenience of being within walking distance means you can afford being rude to us, but believe me, we'd prefer to walk right past for Pizzas or for Chinese, or drive to Ninos or Brendels, Relish, Chipotle or just about anywhere else where our business is actually...

I can’t say enough good things about Weinisch’s Deli! Every time I stop in, the food is fresh, flavorful, and absolutely hits the spot. The buffalo chicken salad is one of my favorites—it’s perfectly balanced with just the right amount of kick, super tender chicken, and that creamy goodness that makes you want to eat it every single day.

Another standout is the shells with feta. It’s such a simple dish, but the way they do it is next level. The pasta shells are always cooked just right, and the feta adds that tangy, salty bite that ties everything together. It’s comfort food with a touch of freshness that keeps you coming back.

Between the great food and the friendly service, Weinisch’s really feels like a gem. If you haven’t tried it yet, the buffalo chicken salad and the shells with feta should definitely be at the top...

The BEST deli in Smithtown. Their food is incredible. Especially the German Potato Salad. You MUST TRY IT! It's the best potato salad I've ever eaten, super unique & unlike any potato salad I've had. I will continue to come back. I got the Italian hero and it was so delicious!! NOT ONLY is the food amazing but the staff are all so friendly and kind. Extremely personable and they made me feel so welcomed & appreciated. Tom is a stand up guy & so pleasant to speak to. The place has some real charm and personality & has a wide selection of all the deli essentials. I would give 10 stars if I could!! You have to try Weinisch's Deli!!! You'll never go anywhere...
