Mixed feelings about this place. The food was pretty good, I can recommend the swordfish sandwich and the lobster roll (if you like a heavy mayo version). The blue crab pasta was initially bland but turned out pretty good after we added salt.
Prices are standard for a Southampton restaurant/club. Think $40+ per main dish and $20+ for a cocktail. They also add an automatic 20% tip for small groups which I find unnecessary.
Service was okay. Some servers were pretty aggressive in taking plates off the table even though they were still half full so we had to ask them to leave dishes multiple times.
What upset us was the fact that we arrived at 7pm with ALL but one table outside empty. We were told that no outside tables are available. When we left, about 1.5-2hrs later, most outdoor tables were still empty, so not giving us an outdoor table was just them being inflexible. Someone in our party owns and operates a restaurant and her comment was that they just don’t know how to manage tables.
It was an okay dining experience. We won’t be coming back bc it was just that - okay, but others may have a different experience, so worth giving it a try if you’re...
Read moreMy friend (mixed) and I (Black) had a disturbing and discriminatory experience at Ketchy Beach on May 25. We were accepted to a table via the Tabler app by a promoter named Connor. When we arrived, the woman at the front door looked us up and down, was extremely rude, and told us to wait off to the side for the promoter. She acted like he wasn’t there, even though he told us he was outside.
Connor asked what we were wearing, and as soon as he realized we were the Black girls waiting at the entrance, he left the chat and never responded. We were dressed well, on time, and respectful. Meanwhile, white guests were being let in freely.
We were visiting from another country, and to experience this kind of racial profiling and exclusion while abroad is something we’ll never forget. It was hurtful, humiliating, and completely unacceptable. If we weren’t what the promoter or venue wanted, we should never have been accepted.
I would not advise any Black person to go to this place clearly, we were not welcome. This behavior should not be...

Upon arrival to Ketchy Beach, the staff were not welcoming. My friend checked us in and was greeted with a "Can I help you??" as if we didn't belong there. She was also wearing a simple party headband and was told that no hats were allowed. It clearly wasn't a hat and we were there to celebrate!
We pre-ordered our food due to being a large party. The stracciatella app had zero cheese and just cream. The "local heirloom tomatoes" were grocery store cherry tomatoes cut in half. All of the dishes were overly rich and mid at best!
Overall, the vibes were just not great. We were rushed out pretty quickly, which was unfortunate, because I would have been willing to stay and spend more money if the service had been better. Absolutely not...
