This is my second year in a row doing a weekend stay at Capri Southampton. I like this place enough that Iâm writing a review in hopes that management/ ownership will continue to keep this place on the up & up, and make improvements!||PROs:|-the gift baskets and snacks/ drinks in the rooms are such a nice touch|-I found my room both years to be clean; housekeeping does a good job.|-the pool is so nice and has floats |-there is coffee and small pastries in the lobby in the morning |-the room designs are cute; though the bathrooms are small, they are updated |-when the restaurant is not open, you can bring your own food/ drink to the pool area |-location is good; if youâre coming from the city, not having to go all the way to East Hampton or Montauk shortens the drive |||CONs:|-the Capriâs biggest enemy is honestly Ketchy Beach.|My friends and I donât mind the music from the club as many other reviewers do (no, I would not recommend this place if you want a quiet nightâs sleep on the weekend in the summer, or have kids. I sleep with earplugs in half the time anyway, and I also noticed both years that staff put us towards the back of the hotel/ away from the clubâ so they do make effort. But yes, the music is loud on weekends. However in my two years staying here, Iâve never heard fighting or screaming after hours.)|I say Ketchy is the enemy because their service is terrible. |When we arrived Friday afternoon around 1pm, Ketchy wasnât open yet. Therefore the pool wasnât really ready for patrons. We couldnât find towels. There was no one around to ask for cups for the wine weâd brought ourselves. The pool felt more apart of Ketchy than Hotel Capri, and since Ketchy wasnât open yetâ nothing in the pool felt prepped and it felt like the Hotel Capri staff ignores the pool & lets Ketchyâs staff manage it. It canât be this way. That pool is a main selling point of the hotel/ main feature guests want to use. It needs to be ready for guests during all of its open hours.||- on Saturday, Ketchy becomes a pool party at the pool around 2pmâ right when we got there this past year. We sat there in the lounges (which desperately need cleaned) for nearly 30 minutes before I had to get up and go get a staff member to take our order as we were told no outside drinks since the bar was open. If we canât bring our own drinks, then perhaps someone would want to wait on us? The wait staff could not have cared less. It seems the bar/ restaurant exist separately from the hotel, but hotel guests are by no means going to make that determination when staying there. I was beyond frustrated that was at a hotel where I was paying nearly $1k a night to stay at this property, and I was being ignored by the staff at the pool. Half the time, the staff looked like they were partying rather than working. At one point it looked like a gentleman who maybe was the MANAGER of Ketchy just started swimming in the pool. It honestly felt like the staff was there to have a good time and not work. ||-finally, some parts of the property are really starting to look rundown. The pool loungers need cleaned; it appears there was a ping pong table area or deck of some sort in the back but thatâs all destroyed/ overgrown with weeds. Itâs an eyesore. The fire pits could have been lit at night because it was chilly, but they werenât.|This place can really be somethingâ but owners/ management just need to make sure they show it the love it needs every year (and by god, please figure out the situation with Ketchy Beach).||Again: I understand peak season in the Hamptons and the prices, but you canât charge $1k a night if youâre not going to upkeep the property and make sure the restaurant/ bar staff is a $1k a night level staff.||Love you otherwise Capri.|Canât wait to come...

Read moreThis hotel hides at the bottom of the longest section in their web page that on weekends there will be loud music until late, and that hidden warning is in any case an understatement of gigantic proportions. We booked the hotel for a last-minute trip to Hamptons and we had the worst hotel experience of our lives. Come the evening on Friday the hotel becomes a disco with booming music that makes the walls tremble. By 12 at night the music is supposed to fall as doors to their "club" are closed but the difference is minimal. It is supposed to finish at 2am but went on well past that time. We complained to staff and manager and we were only offered to be released from our Saturday night reservation if we could find another hotel, which we couldn't. And then if Friday had been horrible, Saturday was beyond our worst nightmares. Music started earlier, was even louder, and went on until even later. After music stopped the people from the "club" invaded the area of the rooms and music was replaced with incessant shouting a shrieking and fights. We had to go out and ask for silence and frankly we had fear for our safety. There was a fight three rooms down from us that made the walls rock in the room of another couple that we met. Staff did nothing and proposed no solutions. My wife was shaken from the experience and the lack of sleep and was unwell Saturday and Sunday, ruining our weekend. We requested that the manger or owners called us to complain and are still waiting to hear. We were truly and well ripped off by this hotel who ruined...
