My girlfriend and I were in Hampton Bays visiting family and we were craving sesame chicken. We are originally from Queens and we can never seem to find a spot that can make sesame chicken the right way. We decided to try Kong Chen and they absolutely nail the sesame chicken! Everything about it is perfect, the delicious sauce is so sweet and savory. The chicken pieces taste very fresh and came out nice and crispy. Simply the best sesame chicken I have ever had, I wish they made it this way back home. You can tell they put a lot of love and quality into the food, im sure a lot of other things on the menu are delicious, do not be hesitant to order! It seems like this is a family owned business and they simply go above and beyond to satisfy the customer. Gems like this place are very hard to find, appreciate them and support them all you can ! :D Thank you Kong Chen for a first delicious experience with your sesame chicken, I will definitely be coming back to Hampton Bays just for your food! My girlfriend loved it, she...
Read morethey use Perdue chicken ! the wanton/egg drop soup is absolutely fantastic and perfect, my new favorite ! the quart of wonton/egg drop soup is #1. you are getting a generous serving of about 4-5 delicious steamed dumplings cooked "al dente". these steamed dumplings are generously loaded with meat and not the common vegetable "fillers" like other places do. the chicken broth is hearty, thick and very flavorful with a heaping amount of whipped eggs added to it. unlike other places that seem to use perhaps one egg per quart, Kong Chen appears to use perhaps 2-3 eggs per quart and this makes it absolutely delicious. their chicken broth actually taste like hearty chicken stock unlike other places where the broth has minimal taste to it and is mostly water. so in conclusion, this is like having a hearty thick chicken soup with whipped delicious eggs added to it and meaty "al dente" steamed dumplings. you tastes chicken, eggs and meaty "al dente" dumplings, its like 3 meals in one, pretty...
Read moreThis is simply the best Take Out only Chinese food I’ve ever had! No seats. Just take out. They are really busy, so if they say 20 minutes, they mean it. It looks like 3 generations of family working there. The kitchen runs like a well oiled machine getting the orders out. I’ve passed this place for decades and never ordered because it’s farther away from our other place, but our other one was closed on Sundays. Lucky for us, because we had to try this! It’s worth the extra distance. The spare ribs were the best we’ve ever had. Chicken and broccoli w garlic sauce was tasty. Moo shu pork great. Anyway, beats the places in China Town nyc, and anything local. Looks clean, too. And the girl taking the orders is a pro! Cutest kid. Love this place. Pay cash....
