Uncle Joe’s Pizza & Parlour - The Hamptons Institution Since 1968 — Restaurant in Town of Southampton

This is no longer Uncle Joe's. I am not one to write reviews, but this has bothered me so much I have to say something. It has been our family tradition for years to start our weekends out in Hampton Bays with a Friday night trip to Uncle Joe's for a fresh cheese pizza. This was our first trip since the new ownership, and I was under the impression that the recipe wouldn't change....I was wrong. We always call ahead and order a pie to stay and eat up front when we get there. The first look at the pie and I knew this was not the traditional Joe's pizza. The crust from the original Uncle Joe's was crisp and my favorite in the entire Long Island area. This new pizza was smaller and looked and tasted like a commercial pizza crust (buffet restaurant not a real pizza place in NY). The new sauce is exactly the same as Papa John's! We are so extremely disappointed. I cannot believe we lost our tradition. Also, they removed the indoor vestibule and now every time someone walks in the door a strong cold breeze blows all over the front tables and the door slams shut. My daughter had to keep her coat on the entire time and napkins kept blowing away. I still am at a loss of how Uncle Joe's recipe is gone, and it has been replaced with chain style pizza which is not edible. Please bring back...

Uncle Joes is one of the best food experiences of my life! The Pizza is off the hook and the food is beyond delicious. And I mean everythin! Chicken,veal ,shirp, all awesome. I have gone many times and with my wife. One waitress in paticular takes such care of us I thought she was the owner! Her name is Jeanine. All in all from the food to the smiles and upbeat attitude makes us fall in love with Uncle Joes allover again. Go there you will not be dissaponted! ATTENTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Uncle Joes apparently has been sold. The new owners have raised the price through the roof!! I went in yesterday and the place was destroyed. Beautiful upgrade to our fav pizza spot in the Hamptons. Went with a group of 8 and ordered All the salads, a pie of grandma slice, eggplant parm platter with spaghetti (best), buffalo wings (awesome), garlic knots which I didn’t get to try because I had pasta. Was super happy with everything. We ate in the back room which was stunning for events and large parties. Wish I took more pics of the room and food but we were hungry and attacked it when it came out. For 8 people it was $120 + tip which I thought was super reasonable for a sit down part of a slice restaurant Looking forward to...
