Slo-Jack's Drive-In — Restaurant in Town of Southampton

We were on vacation and visiting a beach nearby to witness 6 turtles that had been rescued & released back into the ocean.. My daughter searched for an eatery & this place stood out the most. Once arriving, it was not actually the drive-in we imagined, but you order & eat at their picnic tables. The customer service was great, as the young woman engaged and recommended some options. The young man in the back that prepared the meals did an amazing job with my fajita. Everything was fresh, hot, tasty and delicious. Great portion size as well. I was very hungry & it was very fulfilling. The fries were a perfect crisp and hot just as we like our fries to be. The older gentleman was amazing. I believe he is the owner, though, I did not asked. We conversed a bit and he was very kind and welcoming. My family and I had a great little time there playing miniature golf. The highlight of our visit! My daughter actually scored on the last & most difficult course. We partied 😆 I will definitely stop by again if visiting the area. I love to support businesses that are personable and welcoming. It makes me feel good to spend my money with people that deserve it & know how to be humans!...

Not sure how this place has such a high rating. Everything is way over priced. The speed of service is in the name. Slow. Waited over 30 minutes for 2 way over done cheeseburgers and chili fries. By the time they decided to tell me my order was ready it was also all cold. I never left the window so it isn't like I didn't hear them from the tables. If you're looking for poorly made backyard burgers at five guys prices, this is your place. Giving them the benefit of the doubt I tried this place twice to make sure they weren't having an off day the first time, with the same result. Not sure what is going on at 6pm on July 7th but slojacks is not its usual place. Simple order 2 chiles with meat and cheese. Order came and girl said oh we forgot the cheese and handed us a little plastic container of cheese. Got home to find there was no meat, but one order contained rice. Fries and fish came as ordered, so we didn't accidently get wrong order. Been a loyal customer for many many summers. I know there are young kids working here cause there have ALWAYS been kids working the counter. There has also been a grownup showing them how to provide good food and service.....
