Rude and impatient workers.
Went in to try it for the first time, seeing it was a cute place! Had a group of six and were looking at the flavors while one sampling a flavor another asked for a sample and told us she was serving someone else, props to her for trying to help one person at a time I guess? We said we were with them and she was like ahh okay and turned to get another spoon. All is well. Then I decided I wanted to try a flavor and ig that was too much for the worker and she make a show of slowly getting the spoon and looking at her coworker đ€of then I was irritated because I just wanted to try it before paying money for something id never had. Then the worker ringing us up asked what I was getting and she commented impatiently saying i was thinking đ well yes i was thank you for saying that. Wether or not this was irritation at me or the coworker, it definitely had me feeling unwelcome. I got the walnut or whatever covered cone with the flavor I tired not even liking it and gave it to someone else. I just wanted to leave.
Iv been in customer service a long time, even ice cream shops, and if you cannot hide emotions easily from paying customers, Id say find another place to work youâre not so irritated doing your job...
Read moreI never write reviews unless itâs something Iâm really adamant about. We walked into carvel tonight excited for ice cream with our two children. We were not greeted. 3/4 of us ordered our ice cream easily. My daughter was tasting some different flavors and while she was tasting, the two male workers were rolling their eyes and holding back laughter as she asked to taste different flavors. She asked to taste 3 different flavors. Not too crazy for a 6 year old. She wasnât whining she wasnât fussing - Iâm unsure what was so funny. While she was tasting one of the workers was trying to ring us up and asked âwill that be all?â But my daughter hadnât even chosen her flavor yet. Overall rude customer service...
Read moreI love their cake batter and cherry vanilla. Consistently good. But train your new staff to say "you're welcome" instead of "yup" and to fill up the entire cup with icecream rather than flat top it at the brim. $8 for a medium with tax for a cup is not cheap, when u can get a lot more for the same at grocery stores. Plus, your icecream is somewhat melted so it fills up the cup easier and you're not really getting the full scoops. Anytime I feel cheated and not fully appreciated I take a long break from the business. Good luck keeping up the revenue if there is more...
