My recent visit to this restaurant was an absolute nightmare that left me utterly disappointed and frustrated. From the moment I stepped foot into the establishment until I finally managed to leave, everything went wrong, primarily due to the abysmal service and the waitress who seemed completely oblivious to the needs of her customers.
We desperately tried to grab the attention of our absent-minded waitress. It was as if she had completely forgotten about our table and was intentionally ignoring us. The lack of attentiveness was utterly disheartening and ruined what could have been a decent dining experience.
I have dined at numerous restaurants, and I must say that this was by far the worst service I have ever encountered. The waitress's incompetence and lack of professionalism were astonishing. It is truly disheartening to witness such a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction.
In conclusion, I strongly advise against dining at this restaurant. The terrible service, combined with the apathetic attitude of the waitress, turned what should have been an enjoyable evening into a disaster. Save yourself the disappointment and frustration and find a restaurant where the staff actually cares about their customers' experience.
Attention was awful, worst attention I ever had in my life, waitress took so long, they were mean and rude, not helpful at all. Such a bad attitude. I never had such a bad service before in my life I needed to leave the restaurant. Worst...
Read moreI really enjoyed eating here. My friend and I were looking for a local place in Hampton Bays and we ended up finding El Mariachi.
The atmosphere brings out a relatively modern and slightly festive Latin-American feel. We felt comfortable in our booth. We first ordered the Queso Fundido, which was super creamy and flavorful, and had the perfect chip-to-dip ratio.
However, after that, things started to go slightly sour. We had to wait a full half hour for our entrees to come. The restaurant was probably slammed due to online orders on a busy weekend, even though the restaurant itself wasn't full.
There were 3 different types of enchilada dishes, all with the same ingredients except the sauce (poblano, rojas, zuisas). Our waitress suggested the zuisas. It was delicious and wholesome but was begging for a wedge or two of lime on the side to brighten it. I also got an unwanted bite of chicken cartilage, which almost ruined this dish for me. Otherwise, it would've been a home run.
The waitresses were courteous and very helpful (aside from forgetting to refill our water upon request on one occasion). We still wish we had gotten our entrees faster, but it's understandable given the circumstances.
Overall, I believe this place deserves a second chance and I would go back, but probably when...
Read moreVisited twice on my visit to my friend's house. Service was good and attentive. Had fish tacos first visit and shrimp tacos on second visit. We also shared chips and guacamole first visit and avocado salad the second visit.
The food overall was average, but I live in Colorado and have access to many great Mexican restaurants. The guacamole was the Most disappointing, it was like whipped avocado rather than a nice chunky guacamole and the chips while fresh were greasy. The margaritas were good. The fish tacos had fried fish and not much in terms of toppings, but Tons of onions and chopped cilantro and were overwhelmed by these 2 toppings. The shrimp tacos had bay shrimp and the same 2 toppings. The bay shrimp had no flavor, so I wouldn't recommend these. The fish tacos would be okay with less onion and cilantro. The avocado salad was our best choice here, a good salad with fresh lettuce, tomato, and sliced avocado with a citrusy dressing. Prices...
