Peconic Bay Vineyards by Krissie Wines — Restaurant in Town of Southold

Had a nice time at an event here, some of the wines were good. The place is beautiful, BUT the service was not good, they made a lot of errors with bills, overcharging then refunding, then over charging again, then refunding then charging for items not purchased and they appeared very short staffed and not able to properly deal with large crowds. They also gave wrong information about quite a few things. On top of that when you call once, twice, email and wait for a response and don't get one until you call again and ask for a call from the manager and then finally get a call back from the manager and are dealt with an attitude right from the beginning of the call it turns a customer off completely and makes them never want to return. I was told I was nasty to his employee the day prior which is the furthest thing from the truth and he would not give me a moment to talk or explain, he cut me right off and didn't listen to all the issues I had with my credit card charges and he acted like he knew everything which he did not. I tried to explain my frustration with the lack of communication after multiple attempts all week, but he shut me down repeatedly. He didn't want to hear anything I had to say and also had the nerve to hang up on me. I guess the customer is not as important and hearing both sides of every story is not important to this manager and he will treat his customers with disregard. Everyone has bad days and I get that, maybe this was one of them, BUT YOU NEVER, EVER TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS THIS WAY AS YOU WANT THEM RETURNING AND BRINGING BACK...

My favorite vineyard by far. I am currently sitting on a blanket in the vineyard and it is beautiful. I have a picnic reservation. It comes with a tasting, large charcuterie board and a bottle of your choice. I’m telling you it is ABSOLUTELY worth it. Clinton was so friendly and attentive. I learned a lot about the property and the new owner from him. Evan came and took us on a tour of the vineyard. He was very knowledgeable and I now know so much more about grapes and vineyards which honestly made the whole experience so much better for me. I would stay here all day if they let me!! It’s my first time in the area and I am definitely coming back. Thank you Peconic Bay Vineyards, Clinton and Evan for such a memorable experience! I would give them 10/5 stars if I could. I rented the barn out for a larger group for my girlfriend’s birthday and they were so accommodating with the planning and the group size. All of their wines were amazing and several of the wines were nationally recognized. The space was so intimate and beautiful for the occasion and I couldn’t imagine a better place to celebrate. The wine maker even came in and gave us an unreleased bottle straight from the cask.
