If I could give zero stars I would. On our road trip across the Northeast of the US we stopped at Brockport to enjoy the Main Street and get some lunch. We ordered our drinks and food and were asked to pay immediately at the bar, which was fine. After waiting for more than an hour we witnessed several other guests coming and ordering after us and receiving their food in a timely manner while we were still waiting. We asked several times when our food would arrive and pointed out what we witnessed. After several excuses we told them we‘d like our money back and to cancel our order that they had not even started to prepare in the one and a half hours we waited.
Were told they‘d been doing this for over 30 years and never had complaints like ours. Can‘t imagine that being true…
We paid roughly $42 for the food and supposedly received $45 back from them to make up for it. Foolishly I didn‘t check the money I received back until we were back in the car. He only gave me $30 back.
The most disappointing stop on this trip - 10/10 DO...
Read more0/10. I walked in and the rude host barely greeted me and the first thing she said was the wait for food is 2 hours. I said no problem as I thought I would sit and wait with a drink, I was told that because I recently turned 21 and my ID was vertical rather than horizontal it was invalid, which is understandable but there was no accommodation just a rude waitress and and even more rude manager. I tried to explain how I have to wait for my road test for a new ID and even had picture of my passport but there was no accommodation not even a simple “I’m sorry is there anything else I can do as you wait for your food for 2 hours?” Keep in mind I am the only person of color in the bar. No one else is being spoken to with such disregard. TERRIBLE customer service, no organization and extremely long wait time. Only three people working and the “manager” was also head chef apparently. No customer should experience anything like this cause a suburban manager does not know how to properly run a business. DO...
Read moreBarber's Grill and Tap Room is the kind of classic old-school dive bar that just feels right. It’s got that worn-in charm with dated décor, dim lighting, and a no-frills atmosphere that instantly makes you feel comfortable. There’s a unique character to the place that sets it apart from your average neighborhood bar.
The drink selection is surprisingly solid—more options than you'd expect from a small dive—and the prices are refreshingly affordable. The bartenders are always friendly and welcoming, adding to the laid-back vibe that makes it easy to settle in and enjoy the night.
Food-wise, it's exactly what you’d expect: mostly fried options and simple sandwiches off the grill. It’s nothing fancy, but it hits the spot if you’re in the mood for classic bar food.
What really keeps me coming back is the overall vibe—unpretentious, friendly, and just a genuinely good time. Barber's Grill and Tap Room is a hidden gem for anyone who appreciates the charm of a...
