If I could give zero stars I would. On our road trip across the Northeast of the US we stopped at Brockport to enjoy the Main Street and get some lunch. We ordered our drinks and food and were asked to pay immediately at the bar, which was fine. After waiting for more than an hour we witnessed several other guests coming and ordering after us and receiving their food in a timely manner while we were still waiting. We asked several times when our food would arrive and pointed out what we witnessed. After several excuses we told them we‘d like our money back and to cancel our order that they had not even started to prepare in the one and a half hours we waited.

Were told they‘d been doing this for over 30 years and never had complaints like ours. Can‘t imagine that being true…

We paid roughly $42 for the food and supposedly received $45 back from them to make up for it. Foolishly I didn‘t check the money I received back until we were back in the car. He only gave me $30 back.

The most disappointing stop on this trip - 10/10 DO...

0/10. I walked in and the rude host barely greeted me and the first thing she said was the wait for food is 2 hours. I said no problem as I thought I would sit and wait with a drink, I was told that because I recently turned 21 and my ID was vertical rather than horizontal it was invalid, which is understandable but there was no accommodation just a rude waitress and and even more rude manager. I tried to explain how I have to wait for my road test for a new ID and even had picture of my passport but there was no accommodation not even a simple “I’m sorry is there anything else I can do as you wait for your food for 2 hours?” Keep in mind I am the only person of color in the bar. No one else is being spoken to with such disregard. TERRIBLE customer service, no organization and extremely long wait time. Only three people working and the “manager” was also head chef apparently. No customer should experience anything like this cause a suburban manager does not know how to properly run a business. DO...

Barber's Grill and Tap Room is the kind of classic old-school dive bar that just feels right. It’s got that worn-in charm with dated décor, dim lighting, and a no-frills atmosphere that instantly makes you feel comfortable. There’s a unique character to the place that sets it apart from your average neighborhood bar.

The drink selection is surprisingly solid—more options than you'd expect from a small dive—and the prices are refreshingly affordable. The bartenders are always friendly and welcoming, adding to the laid-back vibe that makes it easy to settle in and enjoy the night.

Food-wise, it's exactly what you’d expect: mostly fried options and simple sandwiches off the grill. It’s nothing fancy, but it hits the spot if you’re in the mood for classic bar food.

What really keeps me coming back is the overall vibe—unpretentious, friendly, and just a genuinely good time. Barber's Grill and Tap Room is a hidden gem for anyone who appreciates the charm of a...

Overall a classic old-school village bar with great food, served late. I came here with a friend for my long-overdue first visit on Sunday afternoon (4/2). We split an order of 25 wings, well done. In their menu description, they say the wings are plump and juicy. This is almost an understatement. They were huge, perfectly moist, with just the right crispiness and amount of sauce. We split the sauces (buffalo medium and honey BBQ) and had leftovers. Tasted like a million bucks, the perfect cap a great weekend. We had to wait about 45 minutes given their small grill area, but I'm not one to complain about food wait time, especially good wings. This also gave us plenty of time to watch other food being made like their classic Barbacoa sandwiches (which looked huge and amazing), leaving future visits for these to be desired. I can't speak to the quality of the bar, but I plan on many more opportunities.

This place was recommended by a friend who attended SUNY Brockport back in the day. He promised the food was absolutely worth going for. Just to be clear and upfront it is a small local bar/restaurant. You order at the bar, you kinda bus your own table, and you have check back in to pay. The kind of place that most people would not go to unless you were from the area! Well don’t be fooled into skipping by this place. The food was amazing!!! You absolutely have to get the balboa. It is a sandwich that you will never find anywhere else. It is a loaf of garlic bread, toasted and then your choice of grilled meats and cheese. It is a must try. Lots more f great options for homemade fries and chips that were also delicious. Don’t let the bar atmosphere scare you the food was great and the staff were super friendly!

Edit 7/22/25. Stopped in with friends for dinner. Decided to order the Poutine Barboa full size (21.00+) I was suprised to find out it was only an 8" sandwich at best. For 21.00 I expected a "SANDWWICH". To be fair it was awesome just not worth 21.00 My wife had a grilled chicken sandwich that was so tough it was inedible. She had to say something. The girl behind the bar said that's the way their chicken is which is a lie. We have had the chicken before and it's been fine. Not sure what's going on there but if you read this, I could have gone to the Dakota in Hilton and had a strip steak with a baked and a salad for a few bucks more.
