An absolute charm for a small town Bar & Grill. We sat at the outside canal-side dining area. A great shaded area with a wonderful breeze for a warm day. Sitting water level for a beautiful view of the canal, wildlife, and passing boats. The bar inside is quite inviting. Our waitress/bar tender, Natasha, was one reason our stay was so wonderful. Very nice, attentive, quick, and happy girl. There wasn't a soup for the day but we were offered a Buffalo chicken dip with chips. It was amazingly delicious, not too spicy but just enough! One of our meals was "The Godfather" sandwich of delicious slow roasted Italian shredded beef with provolone, sauteed onion, Italian cherry peppers on a garlic Ciabatta roll. Simply delicious and sooo tender! Our other meal was the classic Reuben sandwich of slowly cooked corned beef, Swiss, we left off the Sauerkraut, kept the 1000 Island dressing on toasted rye. Another great sandwich, so tender and moist. Delicious. Our stay was supurb and the view amazing! A great place for family, friends, or a great date. We were there during the day, but the patio lighting would make for a cool comfortable stay.

Attention new owners… here’s what you’ve bought… Absolute trash. For the record it turned out to be the last day of current owners, running out of food. No shrimp, no chicken, no XYZ . Sat at the bar, vermouth not refrigerated. It needs to be. It’s a fortified wine and starts to oxidize after 3wk being opened. No Campari. Ordered BLT, fries, side of beer cheese. Simple bar food… took 42min to get served. No napkins, no silverware, no condiment caddy. Needed to ask two people to eventually get a full set up. Beer cheese- not made in house. Served cold. And still pourable viscosity. Aka loaded with preservatives/sodium citrate. Fries- no seasoning, room temp. BLT- one side of the bread barely grilled on a flat top the other pale, greasy. Tomatoes, no seasoning. Mayo barely identifiable on the sandwich. Bacon- cold. Rubbish, I hate to imagine any other dish that might require more than basic culinary skills.

The shrimp tacos are extremely bland, The tortilla chips were crushed into small pieces (see photos), I picked the order up myself, and opened it immediately this wasn't the result of a careless GrubHub driver. The bartender was extremely nice and courteous, everyone I interacted with was nice and did their job well. I wouldn't recommend it here unless you are a college student impressed with their bourbon or fish fry and want a place to drink while looking at the canal I'm guessing the alcohol is probably as good as the atmosphere and from what I've seen the servers seemed polite. It's the combination of food and service that's lacking.

We went there for lunch to celebrate my husbands Birthday. We sat at the table for 5 min. It was not busy at all maybe 4 other people at the bar.Two other people came in and sat down and the waitress walked right by us and gave them menus and took their drink order. She came back with our menu and walked away.Another 5 min went by and asked us what we wanted to drink. We ordered draft blue and blue light we watched her poor canned beer into glasses brought them to our table and took our order. The other two customers recieved their food right after that with more drinks. Our glasses by that time were empty and off to the side so she could see them but walked by. 15 min later she walked by us and asked the other two customers if they wanted another drink and finally asked if I wanted a refill. I got my refill and then brought us our food. She forgot my blu cheese and brought me some no lid , blu cheese spilling out and put it on the table. She never came back to ask if everything was fine. My husband at that time needed another drink to have with his meal but she never came back so I shared mine with him. We watched an employee walk by and saw him pick up a piece of toilet paper that was in front of the bathroom he never washed his hands an went to the cooler and brought out some limes right after that. Our waitress was Heather L. We will not be going back. They don't even wash off the tables...

We are typically very happy with our experience at Custom House. On March 25, 2022 around 5:00pm we arrived to order some drinks and food. We chose our table near the bar, but it was busy so we went to the bar to order drinks in order to keep the waiting staff from feeling rushed. The bartender was standing right near us talking to a couple and shut us down immediately and told us to get a table. Our waitress was very nice and helpful, but clearly busy. We later went to the bar to ask for a refill on our cocktails when we noticed the bartender was seemingly not doing anything, and she would not help us and called over the busy waitress to make the drink. She then went to the people next to us while we were still standing theres stating "I don't help people who are at table" and laughed. I found this incredibly rude that she not only went to another customer stating this, but also refusing to help someone who was trying to ease the burden of our waitress. On top of this, my burger was over cooked and we did not receive a side salad we ordered and was still charged for it. This made us reconsider our weekly outings to to...
