This might be the best sandwich shop between Toronto and NYC and I'm not even being hyperbolic. Fresh, unique ingredients with amazing flavor served on fresh bread. The sandwich is going to cost more than something from Subway (although not by much) but the quality is so far above anything else being served around town. When we were here the side of the day was Cacio e Pepe Brussel sprouts. What other sandwich shop does that!? Their focus is on Latin American sandwiches so don't expect a lot of cold cuts. We are beyond excited to have this location closer to us. We used to travel to Sanborn for Tortuga! Stopped in Friday afternoon, ordered at the location for a to-go order. Within 15 minutes all of the food we ordered was finished. When we got home we unwrapped everything and got ready to dig in. In my opinion, it was better than the Sanborn location. Tortuga Sandwich Shop in Kenmore is an absolute gem! Every time I visit, I make a beeline for the Chivoto sandwich—it’s hands-down my favorite. The flavors are bold, the ingredients are always fresh, and you can tell everything is made with care. He is a flavor mastermind!! And don’t even get me started on the fries.
