My husband and I bought 2 mattress sets at the Xtreme Mattress Warehouse on Delaware ave on 11/20/17. We explained to the sales associate that we needed a split box spring for the queen set or it wouldn't fit up the stairway in our new home. She told us it would be an extra 50 dollars and they would deliver it to the home. On the day of delivery I didn't make it there on time so I told them to leave the sets on the porch. We discovered they delivered a full queen box spring and not split so I called the store and got the same associate on the phone. I explained what happened and her reply was bring it back and they would exchange the full for split ones, and I would have to pay 50 bucks. What? I told her I couldnt do that and she said she couldnt help me then.That's when I told her I had been moving our household myself and was fighting breast cancer (while in tears) and physically could not carry those mattresses. Not to mention the deal was they would be delivered.Finally she had me wait, I heard her tell someone who was obviously right there and within minutes she told me they would exchange them , deliver them and waive the 50 dollar fee. I told her I would come in later that day and pay the 50 dollars anyway. I forgot. I sent my husband in to pay it the next day (saturday) and he wàs told that I had to bring the invoice in. Monday morning the 27th, I put the last of our things in my truck and went to pay the money in my pajamas obviously looking ragged and out of straights. I pulled The truck into The parking lot which has two entrances. I couldn't pull into a spot because I couldn't see to back up, no one else was there, and I planned on paying and leaving. The same girl was behind the counter.I was having anxiety and very excitedly told her I was there to pay the 50 dollars. She immediately said she didn't know who I was didn t know what was going on and had an attitude . She asked if me if my husband had paid the 50 dollars. I said I didn't know. She replied with, don't you communicate with your husband in a snarky voice. Excuse me , who says that unless your starting something. We argued. I said let's both shut our mouths and just get this done because I had to go. (We were closing on our house in 3 hours) She kept it up. 3 times I said it. I started crying. She mocked me for crying. She was obviously dragging this out just to be nasty.the owner walked in, and all of a sudden she says George can you help me this woman is yelling at me. What!? He said to me is that your truck parked out there taking up 3 of my parking spots. Umm, there was no one else in the store theres always more than enough parking spots and usually it doesn't take 20 mins to run a credit card which she never touched the whole time I was there. .I said yes and started explaining that I just wanted to come in , have 50 bucks put on my credit card and go. He cut me off SCREAMING at the top of his lungs , arms flailing, that I was GOING to move my truck right then before anything else happened. I was so shocked at this bully coming at me that I picked up my credit card off the counter , said cancel my order, started to walk out very quickly in tears because I was honestly in fear for my safety. Any male(, I will not say man because any self respecting man would not act like that) who treats someone like that especially a female is a disgrace to men. All I wanted was to pay the extra fifty bucks for the services we were told we were getting. I am embarrassed for the women in his life. These two people need to learn compassion . I am disgusted and without what we ordered. I have contacted the bbb, the news channels, and my lawyer. I’d had a really bad experience with another mattress store (Metro Mattress – avoid!) and was feeling incredibly stressed about finding a replacement. I was wary of expensive foam mattresses that I'm not sure I'm going to like.
From the moment I walked in, Kiera was amazing. She listened to my concerns and really understood what I was looking for – a good, solid conventional mattress – and gently steered me away from a potentially disastrous, and very expensive, foam gamble. She helped me find a wonderful mattress set for half the price of my previous near-miss, and it included free delivery and removal.
Now, here's where things got a little tricky. I unfortunately made a mistake and purchased a mattress from Metro Mattress and subsequently had to cancel that order. This created some logistical challenges, but the team at Xtreme Discount Mattress truly went above and beyond. I spoke with Bill who, after I explained the situation, listened intently and took the time to go to management on my behalf. The manager demonstrated an exceptional level of flexibility, offering a solution that deviated from standard policy and had the potential for a financial impact on the company. This willingness to make an exception and prioritize customer satisfaction was truly remarkable.

The delivery was surprisingly quick and arrived early! The delivery team was professional and courteous.
But the biggest surprise has been the mattress itself. I honestly didn’t think I’m going to like a conventional mattress any more than the one I originally owned, but this one is fantastic. It’s been a long time since I’m able to stand up from bed without wincing a bit as I straighten out! And my sleep record is astounding. I slept for 6 hours and 31 minutes, woke up only five times, and got a solid 5 hours and 10 minutes of sleep! Considering how stressed I’m still feeling about the whole Metro Mattress saga and the $900 I’m still waiting to be refunded (update: the funds have finally been released to my bank), this is a remarkable improvement. Previously, I'd be in bed for 4-6 hours, wake up 8-12 times but only get 3-4 hours of actual sleep.

Read moreBUYER BEWARE!! If I could give it a zero I would. The only reason I went to them is because my nephew had such a great experience with them. I went in and asked which bed he bought because I love his bed. While he was deployed I stayed there. I was assured it was the replacement as they discontinued the ones he has. It was delivered but it was not the bed I laid on in the store. I went back to the store and sat on the bed they sold me. Nope the bed I had was hard as a rock and the one with the same name on it as mine were 2 entirely different beds. I emailed the customer service and they did agree to switch it out. They came and did just that. But here is the problem they brought my the same hard bed. I then called and complained and talked to a Rick. Who complete treated me like I was crazy. As soon as I told him the bed that was swapped out was not the bed that's in the store he became very belligerent and never offered me a credit to a different bed. He kept saying we will come and pick up the bed and part as friends. Well they are not my friends I don't even know them. I was told that it would take 3 to 5 business days to get a refund. Well here I am almost 2 weeks later still no refund and I HAVE NO BED!! I have been sleeping in my recliner chair. Today I called about my refund and was told the same thing 3 to 5 business days. So not only did they take my bed from me they are refusing to give me any kind of refund in a timely manor. I called numerous times today and as soon as I gave them my name they hung up on me.
