Read moreLast night my family and I decided to stop in at Little Italy before a 3 hour trip home and had been starving. We picked a back booth and it was pretty chilly so one staff member said we could close the window so that I wouldn't be in the direct wind nor continue to be cold. So we did. My blood sugar was pretty low (I was starting to crash pretty good) and the wind kept blowing my hair pretty good too. Our server (different woman) finally showed up and opened the window saying I cant close it because something burned in the back. Mind you thats allll the way in the opposite direction and we didn't smell any burning. After waiting a 20 minutes we finally got to order and when the food arrived I was told I should share my salad I had ordered for myself as dinner with my husband and daughter and gave me 3 extra plates... They ordered Calzones and I got the salad because I have high blood pressure. She said it was large so she thinks I should do that. (I'm only 119 pounds) I also ordered a chicken salad and got lunch meat and a sandwich slice of cheese cut up in tiny tiny squares. It was gross. We spent about $40. So I gave my husband $60 since they only take cash. Well, I was forced to pay 18 percent gratuity and only got 8 bucks back. Had a bad experience and left feeling hungry, cold and upset. I was going to leave a tip anyways but wow, 18 percent forced? and weird service and forced to be...
Read moreI was visiting Tupper Lake on my own for a day. This restaurant was recommended. I went at 5 PM on Friday 7/22 and was promptly greeted and seated in a booth. It was not busy at that time. The table seated AFTER me was receiving their drink order before I was even acknowledged. They were having their order taken as I received my drink. A staff member was closing blinds behind me as sun was glaring in. She bumped me in the head and something swung around at hit me in the shoulder. No acknowledgement. I was served fairly promptly. My waitress NEVER: asked how my dinner was; asked if I wanted any refills on my water or if I'd like to order the wine I mentioned at my food order; asked if I wanted coffee or dessert. I heard the waitress at the next table ask all these things and attend to her customer. DURING my dinner, while I was eating, my waitress came over with a to-go box and asked if I'd like the rest to go! I informed her I was still eating and could I have more water please. No water. The wait line started to grow at this point and I felt I was being ousted because I was by myself and seated in a booth for 4. I kept getting stares from some staff. It took my waitress 10 minutes or more to return and at least that much to bring check. ...
