So I was a walk-in customer coming to get pizza with my friend. We want simply a couple slices and I like to have a side of pizza sauce on the side like a side of barbecue sauce at McDonald’s or at Little Caesars a side of that sauce. At a maximum costing 1.50 MAX . I think she had already predetermined with me and my friend were not gonna tip her or something probably do too I wanted to split One meal and then an additional slice of pizza which is two slices of cheese pizza an additional slice of pizza and a salad and a soda and water altogether we ended up getting another slice of pizza at the end which made her do more work and I don’t think she likes that very much either And the pizza sauce at another time so she had to go back-and-forth a couple times. I saw how she was treating other customers, and she was very kind being friendly, and it seemed like it all depending on how much money you spent in the restaurant.
It depends on her conceived tips that she feels like she’s going to get. so I feel like she thought we didn’t have a dime on us and so she didn’t care like how she treated us and made sure to charge exxorbbetent amounts. Who knows she could’ve been the owner she was in attractive lady with an accent or waitstaff or a manager can’t tell someone a job . And I guarantee she thought we were going to stiff her due to trying to save money on the food. so she ended up charging $4.50 for a side of pizza sauce. She assumed we were too broke to tip and got so annoyed, instead of me being able to tip her that $4.50 she wanted to lose the bigger tip and just make up charges because there’s no possible way that pizza restaurant with that you were walking into to get slices and walking out and we just sat in a table in the corner because we were waiting for our electric charter card to charge. There’s no way they charge $4.50 for a side of pizza sauce in the walk in portion it was double the side of pizza sauce for the $2.75 piece of pizza that we had. That’s what doesn’t add up and it definitely being just a spiteful move.
And any waitress that really wanted a tip wouldn’t charge somebody for a side of pizza sauce to begin with. so our very small lunch of total of four slices of cheese some pieces of lettuce with French dressing on the top small plate and a small fountain soda came to $24.50.
So I carefully calculated 15 percent out(normally do 20-25) tipped it, and Due to these days, you being able to tell somebody about the service easier by going on Google, it’s a much easier way to do that and just leave them the tip and not have the drama that could enSue in case somebody leaves their purse behind or a phone or something like that because anything can happen so I always make sure to tip something. Because if you did happen to lose your phone or something in a place and you didn’t tip that would not work out well for you. They would remember that you didn’t tip them and you might not get your phone back or a wallet back or something like that so it’s always smarter to tip the weight staff regardless Of how poor the service is.
I think judging somebody based on how much food they’re ordering is really not the best judge of somebody’s character because some people might be hunger one day than another. Somebody might be on a diet or somebody might not have enough money for a tip for a carry out pizza that we just sat in the corner like I could’ve just walked up, but since we sat down, we made sure it’s a tip . Degraded and my friend felt very degraded too because she treated us like we were just completely broke.

Read moreI would love to give them 5 stars because their pizza is awesome, but I’ve had a couple bad experiences in the past year to bring my overall rating down to 4 stars. First pre-covid I went there for my birthday, and everything was great honestly, except they gave me a side salad with obviously brown lettuce in it. Second/ third post Covid we tried to order pizza for pick up, and whomever answered the phone both times around 8:15pm told us the kitchen was closed at 8pm, the first time was in the beginning of Covid, so I wasn’t upset, everything had gotten confusing, but this time tonight 8/15/20 I had checked their website which had a post Covid update to list their dining room hours till 9pm, and the bottom of the page listing their hours in general as being open till 11pm on Saturdays. So I assumed they were at least open till 9, and maybe takeout was till 11, or worst case scenario you would think maybe they would close the kitchen at 8:30pm before full close of dining room at 9pm. So due to false advertising on their OWN website, I ended up ordering from another place that IS open. Also, even google and yelp say they are open, which is why I’m writing this to let you all know to place your order by like 7:30ish if you want Nick’s, and because I don’t think it’s very kind/is definitely lazy of the owner to not correctly list hours on their own website at the very least, I had my heart set on Nicks and am disappointed, if it were me, I’d also update it on google and yelp also, which I’ve submitted the hours update for...
Read moreNot sure if I want to go back. Was always our favorite for thin crust pizza. There was a perfect balance of sauce to cheese and a great crust. The last three times we went there was so little sauce that we were eating basically a white pizza. The last time there I asked the waitress if maybe they had someone new making the pizzas, She said no. I showed her the pizza on the table, even picking up a slice to show here the edge of a slice with no sauce between the cheese and the dough to be seen. Told her very politely that they've been coming that way lately and that they just tasted like a white pizza instead of what we always used to get. Her reply was that when they're busy, they just throw them together fast with no expression on her face like she didn't care. Then she shrugged her shoulders and walked away. Busy isn't people at three other tables because it was a slightly off time. When I went up to pay, they weren't very busy and I had seen only a couple pizzas go out in all...
