di'Vine Wine Bar — Restaurant in Town of Wappinger

We've been there several times over the years and had really pleasant experiences. Last night was likely an outlier. The outside deck was packed and we were offered the last open table. Server came over with water and glasses fairly quickly and asked us to scan the QR code for full menu. After what seemed a longer than normal time passed and a server didn't come to out table nor let us know they will be there shortly, my wife went inside to let them know. Our wine was very good. The server didnt refill out water glasses even though they were empty when she served the wine. We couldn't get a server's attention in order to pay and a customer who helped the wait staff come over to ask us what we needed. When the bill came it had a mistake of $3. She seemed reluctant to correct it and asked if we could lower our tip by that overcharge. I asked her to correct it. As a former server in my younger days, I hated to do what I did. I didnt leave a tip as I felt we were neglected and not treated as well as the other guests who had servers buzzing by their tables. I here came last night for a surprise party with about 20 people in the upstairs area. The space is lovely, and there is a gorgeous balcony view of the river. The service was fantastic- we had a big group, and Melanie, Missy, Mia and Veronica took care of us. They were so fun and friendly, have so much wine knowledge, and had perfect timing- lol never had to wait around or have to try and flag someone over. I had a really great time and will definitely be back. The live music was great- no so overpowering you can't have a conversation, but great musicians and nice to listen. The wine was delicious. The atmosphere was great. The bartender was so friendly and you can easily strike up a conversation with a stranger. We we're there for happy hour and got $2 of our drinks. We have the cheeseboard for 2 and there was a lot of food. We also stayed for the live music, the guys was hilarious and talented. We wanted to sit outside but it was gorgeous out and you have to either get their early when they open or make a reservation.
