Loco Garibaldi — Restaurant in Town of Wappinger

Overall really delicious and glad we tried them. We passed by on Saturday and I googled the menu so we decided to order takeout that night for dinner. Overall, the food is very flavorful and authentic Mexican (not Tex-mex) and I would order from them again. My husband ordered the taco combination platter and had one bistek and 2 Al pastor. He enjoyed them and I took a bite and thought the flavor was great as well. The 3 salsas they provided were all varying in heat level and quite enjoyable. My horchata was sweet and heavy on cinnamon, which was very good. The prices are very fair as well. My one complaint is that I ordered the huaraches garibaldi and it was missing both the grilled onion and cactus, which was quite disappointing. I love cactus and that was part of the reason I ordered this so for it to be left out was disappointing. Also when my husband placed the order, they told him it would be 20 minutes and upon arrival, he paid and then waited another 20 minutes for the food. New owners just took over this place a few days ago and our dinner was awesome. Started with the chips and salsa, where we devoured the whole order of salsa, was a very authentic recipe. The traditional Mexican tacos are great- just onion and cilantro (no cilantro for me though). Chorizo taco was not oily, very flavorful, the steak taco was cooked perfectly and the chicken had nice color and was not too overdone. The owner of this establishment is very kind and welcoming, the food is absolutely great and it’s my favorite spot to dine in and take out because personally, it’s a lot more better than most Mexican restaurants in Poughkeepsie. But unfortunately as good as the food has been and how nice the owner is, there is a young lady who is always rude, she usually is at the registers but her attitude has always been the worst, if you approach her she will be annoyed. She’s the reason why I won’t be coming back as often because she is incapable of maintaining a good attitude towards people. The food service clearly...
