Olympic Flame — Restaurant in Town of Washington

I was absolutely blown away by my experience here. First and foremost the service was friendly and helpful. I had ordered off of Google using EatStreet (the default). While I was waiting for my pickup order, the host gave me a paper menu and recommended that in the future I order via phone as EatStreet marks up the orders by about 30%. While at the end of the day, it was only a few dollars difference; it was clear that this restaurant cares about their customers and wants them to have the best experience possible.

This was mirrored by the stylish interior of the restaurant and the casual atmosphere. It is a great spot to dine in and I'm sure that I will be back to utilize it.

The food was exceptional! Well seasoned freshly shaved strips of Gyro meat, fresh veggies, a warm pita, crispy and buttery fries. The portion was impressive for the Gyro Dinner, but next time I'll be sure to order an extra pita and maybe some more veggies as they give you about 2x meat. Very flavorful and fresh tasting. I hope that they add Greek fries to their menu one day. Keep up...

The food is okay, but I’m giving one star because of a serious issue with my order. I picked up two orders of falafel, and unfortunately, the hot food was placed in plastic containers that clearly couldn’t handle the heat. The plastic started to melt, and there’s a strong possibility it mixed with the food. This is completely unacceptable—how can anyone eat food potentially contaminated with melted plastic? We had no choice but to throw it away.

I called customer service to report the issue, and their response was even more frustrating. They claimed that I had asked for the falafel to be "well done," but that doesn’t justify using containers that can’t withstand high temperatures. Just because food is cooked more thoroughly doesn't mean it should be placed in packaging that melts. This shows a lack of basic food...

Gyros or flavorful lamb is hard to come by to say the least in my opinion. I am from Chicago so I have had some great Gyros in my lifetime… with that said, the bar is so high in my mind when it comes to having a gyro especially that season slight greasy flavorful type of gyro. Here, although the food (gyro) plate I had was real lamb it still miss the bar of having flavor. My meal was bland but the fries did make up for a lil bit of the miss flavor yet the gyro in no way satisfied my taste buds. We also had the Greek Salad which was very very basic and lacked pizzazz. Our service was average and the atmosphere was soothing. If you seeking to just quench your thirst for lamb this place will do but if you looking for flavor and great taste this...
