Yang's Kitchen — Restaurant in Town of Wawarsing

I’ve been eating Yangs a couple of weekends monthly for over a year. This review is way overdue. I love their steam pork dumplings and orange chicken. I’ve tried other places in a nearby town and nothing compares to Yangs. And every time Ive picked up the food the woman at the register is always so kind. I hear some people think they’re not the cheapest, but they are the most delicious within an hour radius of Kerhonkson lol. Also,they’ve always prepared my food within 10 minutes or so, and it’s so fresh, I’ve literally picked up the food and opened the container like 20 min later and the food is still hot. That’s amazing. Most places the food gets cold fast. My boyfriend buys dishes I can’t pronounce or even spell but he’s never had a complaint about the dishes he tries from them. ever since COVID, their food is iffy. You can get a terrible meal or a decent one, but it hasn't been consistent nor very good. All of their chicken dishes use breaded, fried chicken, which they never used to do. Last week my Mom and I got cashew chicken. the chicken was breaded and fried, it's just supposed to be stir fried, happened also with a different chicken dish I ordered in the past too. Also the cashew chicken was horribly salty, we both threw ours away. Too expensive to do that, the quality has really gone downhill and it's not consistent anymore. It's a shame, it's used to...

The food is So fresh ! The restaurant is so clean ! Good , fair portions. And somehow a yummy meal for family of 4 was ready in about 10-12 min. Here a veggie fried rice or lomein doesn’t mean some old frozen peas & carrots squares tossed in. Real carrot slices, broccoli, even zucchini!

The owner was nice enough to toss in fortune cookies and candies for the kids too.
