The Shop At Main — Restaurant in Town of Wellsville

The Shop at Main is a charming little café that’s clearly a local favorite — and for good reason. It has a cozy, welcoming vibe and offers a solid menu of breakfast items and specialty drinks. I had the bacon, egg, and cheese muffin and an iced caramel latte — both were excellent and clearly made with care.

The café also has a small retail section with some local items for sale, which adds to the charm. The menu includes toast, bagels, breakfast sandwiches and bowls, plus a wide selection of coffees (frappes, lattes, cappuccinos) and other drinks like teas, smoothies, and hot chocolate.

The only downside was the seating arrangement. The space is limited, and there aren’t quite enough tables for the amount of foot traffic. I ended up in the back in some comfy chairs, which would have been perfect except I was sitting right next to a window air conditioning unit — and it was freezing. They have one very large table that takes up a lot of the room; breaking it up into smaller tables might improve the flow and comfort.

Overall, it was a very good experience and I’d definitely return — just maybe with a light...

This place is awesome for home, apparel, and gift items! I simply could have spent hours perusing through the various eclectic items that graced the stores shelves. From quirky cards and novelty gifts to amazing outfits for people of all ages (including some newborn outfits!). The owner, Katie, was lovely to talk to and very knowledgeable. I used to love the drinks at the shop at main, however, lately it has been horrible. When you place an order for 2 or 3 drinks, it should not take over an hour to receive your order. After waiting over an hour, all 3 drinks are not good. They taste like burnt espresso or coffee. They are not frozen due to waiting over an hour. Unfortunately for me, I will start using another business to order...
