I made a reservation March 14th for Easter (April 9th), specifing it was Easter when I wanted the reservation. They took my reservation without hesitation and repeated confirming it was Easter as well. My whole family came up from out of town, we had our whole day planned around this dinner. When we got there, it was closed. No one called me, no one told me my reservation was cancelled, leaving my family disappointed and having frozen pizzas Easter day instead. When I called the next day to ask why I was not notified they were closed and why my reservation was taken, all I got was an simple âIâm sorryâ and the manager talking over me before I even finished explaining the situation saying easter was blocked off (basically telling me I didnât have a reservation). He finally did find my reservation, repeating the day, party size, and time I made it for correctly. He did say the girl that took my reservation was no longer with them. He also told me it was canceled through open table and I was notified, which I was not. He then told me I wasnât notified because there was no phone number or email taken down for me. The employee taking my reservation never asked for one and who really thinks to provide your email when making a reservation if not asked. You would think talking to the manager, something other than a simple im sorry would be provided. My whole family did not get a dinner excepted because of one of there employees (or maybe even multiple), you would think someone would notice in the reservation book someone was on for a day this restaurant isnât even open. Terrible customer service, we were hoping for maybe a free entree at the very least, showing they truly are sorry we had frozen pizzas for Easter instead of a nice meal, my family didnât drive up all the way for that. We never got to try Pasqualeâs and after this experience...
Read moreThe restaurant was fairly busy and we had to wait to be seated. Once we were called, we were seated in a booth and both the booth seat and table were extremely wet which I did not realize until I sat down and my pants got soaked.
Once seated It took a few minutes for the waitress to come over and take our drink and food order.
Eventually our soups/salads were brought out. The soups were lukewarm.
I ordered the Broccoli Cheese Soup and as soon as the bowl was placed on the table in front of me I noticed it had a different scent. I took one bite and it tasted off, so I took a second bite and realized it had a very sweet taste to it. Everyone at the table tried it and my nephew said it reminded him of a vanilla pudding flavor, needless to say no one ate it.
The waitress took forever to return to come check on us and once she finally did I told her about the soup. She spoke with the kitchen and came back to tell us the cook thought it was the soup base because I was not the first person to mention it tasted off. NOT ONLY DID THE COOKS KNOW THE SOUP WASN'T RIGHT, THEY CONTINUED TO SERVE IT LIKE THAT!
Next our meals came out. I ordered baked penne with rosa sauce, it was also lukewarm which I donât understand since it was baked in the oven and the plate was hot. There was so much sauce I couldn't find the pasta on the plate nevermind taste it. I ate less than a 1/4 of the pasta and again the waitress failed to check on us in a timely manner so I didn't even bother bringing up the issues this time.
I have eaten in the restaurant in the past and was very satisfied but that was close to a year ago. I am not sure if this was a fluke or if the food quality and service have...
Read morePerhaps it was a bad day or something just wasn't right. We were greeted in a nice way upon entering and told the soups of the day when sat. I've been in the hospitality industry for over 30 years and might have "pet peeves," so to speak, yet our service wasn't the best. It was approximately 1:30 in the afternoon and the restaurant was slow. The booth we sat at still had leftover streaks from a very quick wipe down/greasy. Our server's attire, particularly her apron, was dirty which is eye level when seated. The specials were not spoken, but they were to the two men behind us. She seemed put off by ordering water, a sandwich and calamari. We said yes to the bread and dip, but it still remained on top of the 2- 7" rounds for sharing and a pile of napkins where she dropped it off. Which, of course, we spilled on the table. The food arrived rather quickly and the meatballs did not taste the same. Seemingly a lot of bread crumbs as per my lunch mate. The calamari, which I understand is a delicate plate to fry, was rubbery. I would venture frozen and overcooked. Only rings with no tentacles and overly battered, no crispiness at all. The check was dropped off, but every single empty, dirty plate was left sitting in front of us. She only visited us once to see if everything was "ok" within a minute then disappeared until she dropped off the check and never came back to collect. I've always had FOH staff clear plates when hands were empty and not sitting in a pile upon guests leaving. I'm not certain if I'll be back after this last visit. I gave 3 stars due to location and the hostess being efficient and friendly. Otherwise? I would...
