I've been a regular customer for years and the food has always been consistently good. Over the years they have always remembered me and the friends that I have brought in. They're very nice people.
If there is a problem with this business, beyond being a little dated (which is easy to overlook), is the lack of a manager that would oversee the service and dining room issues.
The owner is the cook, which explains the good food, but the inconsistent service, dirty tables and other service issues that others have complained about could be easily fixed if someone in authority was watching. Lack of management is their Achilles heal.
(That, and a tiny $6 side salad which we were told was the same size as their garden salad which baffled one member of our party. They spent $17 on a cup of soup and a tiny salad. I was embarrassed for them because they couldn't explain the difference between the two salads on their menu. A manager could have fixed that -...
Read moreThis place was very filthy. The food had no flavor . The waitress was seen at the bar drinking . The potatoes was bigger than the steak. The bathroom had holes in the wall and there were recepticles with no covers. The rug was dirty. like it hasn't been cleaned in years .The vent was dirty over our table . We asked for lemon water and got just water . Didn't even bring us straws . The menu is not the same as it is advertised online .The celling fans had dust on them. The waitress "Elsie" didn't even give us her name, we had to ask her !!! I had the broiled haddock, almost asked for a magnifying glass to find it on the plate. I didn't get any tartar sauce with my meal. My other half had the sirloin steak, baked potato with "no butter" on it. It was so dry he couldn't eat it. Our bill came to almost $ 70 . In our opinion, it wasn't worth $ 7 . Do yourself a favor, don't go to this restaurant !!! Definitely...

I mean, it's pasta, sauce, chicken and cheese - it can't be that good right!?!? But the second bite, and the third...and now I'm mopping up every last bit of sauce possible to shove into my unworthy and eager face... Just absolutely amazing and highly highly recommend to anyone who wants a real deal, no holds barred, old school, probably made by Nana in the kitchen,...
