The convenience of their location (not having to fight traffic on route 6 during the evening hours) and the quality of their food are so negatively outweighed by their lack of customer service. The last few times I’ve ordered from the website, which I’ve been doing for quite a while, I’ve received the notification that my order was ready for pickup after approximately 25 minutes from when I placed my order. Needless to say, I arrived and nothing or only 1/2 the order was ready, let’s say the pizza sitting on top of the oven and I have to wait on salad and calamari. I get home and the pizza is cold as a brick. My wife has stopped there after I placed the order online for pizza and pasta and had to wait 15 minutes approximately two weeks ago. Tonight I ordered on line and again received the notification that my order was ready at 4:55. I arrived there at 5:00 and didn’t leave until 5:25 as NOTHING was ready.(Margherita pizza, shrimp parmigiana wedge, spaghetti with garlic and oil.) As I’m sitting there waiting and observing the other people coming in I’m hearing the same thing: “forgive me sir. I’m short handed as no one wants to work.” I’ve heard this gripe on more than one occasion from the gentleman behind the counter who is surrounded by at least 4 other employees. I get it. This whole virus thing and the pay yo stay home agenda, but I’m sorry it’s “not all that” and isn’t worth the frustration of sitting around waiting for what was supposed to be ready when I could have already been home enjoying a hot pizza after having to deal with traffic on route 6 too. Read moreOur family went to NY for a family burial. All of us were from out of state: VA, MD, DE & CT. I called and spoke to the owner, Don who placed our orders the day before arriving. Upon arrival, he welcomed us, served us, and made sure our food was hot and tasty! His staff was cordial and accommodating. My daughter asked for apple juice for my 1 year old grand daughter. Don said he didn’t have any, but would get some. To our surprise, Don left, went to a store, and purchased juice and gave it to us!!!! The service we received during our bereavement was comforting and made us feel blessed to know that A1 service still exists. Thank You Don, and your staff for treating us so well.
