David's Bagels — Restaurant in Township of Washington

The worst customer svc we have ever consistently received out of one deli, specifically from a worker named Juan. He is rude and lacks a moral conscience on how he speaks/treats people/customers. He should be ashamed of the things that comes out of his mouth to customers. They also refuse to pick up the phones on Saturdays claiming they are too busy. No other deli in the area does that. We live in an area where Deli's are plentiful. You should check out Goldbergs in Westwood, Adam's in Rivervale, or Ronnie's in Hillsdale to name a few...talk about top notch service at those establishments. We always aim to support family businesses, but we also work hard for our money, I can't imagine supporting this deli any longer. When I asked for the owners name or email I was told his name is Tony and they all started laughing at me saying "go ahead and complain to Tony" as if they just knew he would support this sort of service. It doesn't appear the owner of this establishment cares about the service given to his customers. Thanfully, we live in an area...

I am not writing about the bagels, or the sandwiches, or the food in general. I am writing about a group of men of a certain age who hang out at the bagel shop each morning, spouting their slanted views on politics and prejudice. My friend, who is black and lives in town, overheard them having a conversation using the "N" word loudly, liberally and irreverently. When my friend had a word with them regarding their language, one of them had the nerve to say "Oh, I didn't see you" as if that excused the situation!!! These men should be asked to leave by David's Bagels! I don't care how much business they bring in or if they are township residents! There is no room in our society for hate speech of any kind. Ignoring this behavior by the owners and workers just condones it! I, for one, will not frequent this business again, until these miscreants move out and find another rock to...

This place is a rip off and the guy named Juan that works there is raciest and the manager Tony let’s him get away with it. I had also get a deli sandwich one time that they tried to overcharge me for and I walked out and didn’t take the sandwich and the next time I went to get a breakfast sandwich Juan proceeded to say that I stole it which I never left the store with it. I’ve grown up in Washington township for all my childhood and never would think the employees would go that low and try to publicly shame someone!! Don’t go here if I could give it 0 stars I would. Also there’s other reviews that also talk about the employees bringing up race in the situation. There used to someone that worked here by the name of Diego and he was really nice to me and my family and should be the owner of the place. Juan is unprofessional and should be fired...
