Recommend: hk shrimp shumai, crispy taro dumpling, chef dumplings, chive dumplings, chili oil dumpling sauce Good: fried shrimp paste ball, sticky rice in lotus leaf, soup dumplings Ok: coconut pudding, steamed spare rib Would pass: chaozhou dumplings, egg tarts

Some hits and some misses, couldn't find some staples, and pretty expensive. Decent considering area but wasn't a wow.

First, this is not the type of place that wheels around a cart, you'll order the dishes you want using a paper. There's also a regular menu but frankly we didn't look at it.

I was looking for the tripe (niu ban ye) on the dim sum menu but couldn't find it. Also couldn't find the traditional shrimp dumpling (Xiao jiao/ha gao). Wouldn't change the review too much if I had been able to find/order but it was definitely notable.

Chive dumplings were surprisingly good. We were also very happy with the crispy taro dumpling (provided you like taro).

We liked the shrimp paste ball and the shrimp shumai.

The chef dumplings were also a hit. Would recommend the dumplings steam rather than pan fried (and I normally prefer pan fried) and would definitely ask for the chili oil/sauce/jam thing (if you get them fried they come with the sweet syrupy sauce and not the chili oil. It's worth it to get the chili oil dumpling sauce if you enjoy spicy at all)

Steamed spare rib was rather fatty and not super flavorful. Still good but this is normally my favorite thing and it was only ok here.

Chaozhou dumplings were overcooked and kind of mushy they're in the rice flour casings that get goopy if over steamed.

Egg tart tasted rather eggy and the custard wasn't super smooth

Honestly the best part was the chili dumpling sauce. Would ask for more.

Atmosphere seemed more modernized/upscale and quiet which isn't really what I expect from a dim sum place but it's not...

We've now been here for a second time since we enjoyed the first meal so much two weeks ago. I was a little skeptical before dining here because 1) there have been several failed below-average restaurants in this space and 2) the current decor is unimpressive and perhaps reflects a small startup investment. Don't be fooled by the lack of ambiance! Extensive and well organized menu and more than ample wide selection of dim sum. Prices are more than fair (can't imagine what some previous reviewers expected to pay for a meal!). Service is attentive if not highly communicative. Dim sum is brought out as it is freshly prepared and literally every item we tried is on point. Chefs dumplings have a tasty pan toasted wrapper and flavorful not-too-salty meaty filling. Bao buns are just sticky enough but still light and bouncy. Steamed dumplings have a thin delicate wrapper that emphasizes the various available inner ingredients. Tiny stuffed eggplants were an unexpected surprise, cooked just soft enough, stuffed with an airy filling and topped by a delicious sauce. We've had roast pork and duck from the Hong Kong style BBQ selections and each is clearly made in-house, flavorful and an outstanding bargain. Noodle dishes and stir-fries are equally well prepared and we have had no complaints with any of the dishes we've tried. Even their bubble tea is better than we've had anywhere in the suburbs. And oh btw, the sesame balls...

Came here on Labor Day weekend for some Dim Sum because I missed it after moving here from California's 626 area. The Dim Sum here definitely reminded me of the restaurants that my family would often go to in California and Hong Kong. My fiance and I ordered a large variety of their Dim Sum such as the crystal shrimp dumplings, braised chicken feet, shumai, pan fried radish cakes, custard buns, etc. and everything was wonderful!

We also go their HK milk tea and I loved that they let us put our own sugar in to adjust for sweetness. I liked that their milk tea actually tasted like tea, unlike many Americanized milk tea places that just taste like milk and sugar or syrup. The service was also impeccable and everyone was so friendly and nice to us while we were there. I had accidentally spilled water on myself and the waiters actually apologized for the mess when I was the one that should have apologized for getting their table wet!

I would definitely come back again! I can't wait to try out the rest of their menu. It's literally one of the only places that reminds me of anything remotely close to authentic HK food. Anyone that's planning on going to the restaurant, be sure to allocate appropriate time because the restaurant is quite small and since they're newly opened, I think they're still getting used to the amount of orders/people eating there.

P.S: Get there early! They sell out of certain...

I had been searching for a dim sum restaurant in PA being that Chinese New Year was going to make Chinatown way too populated to go to our normal Dim Sum place Ocean City Restaurant. This place came up located in Paoli, about an hour away from where my family and I live so we decided to try it. The place is located in a plaza with other stores so there's plenty of parking. We made a reservation initially because we were a party of 5 and I do recommend if you go there around 11-1pm it does get busy so make a reservation if you're a larger party. They have a dim sum menu and then a regular menu. The dim sum menu you mark it off with a pen and they put that in right away. The time of which we received our food for dim sum was so quick and the staff were not only speedy but friendly and personable! Everyone in our party left super satisfied and happy. My parents said "this is our new favorite dim sum place. Our new spot for Chinese New Year celebrating." We traveled an hour just to come here and it turned out to be completely worth it. As an Asian American myself growing up on homemade Asian food, I do recommend trying this place because the food is authentic and delicious (no complaints at all) and there's so much of a selection. We want to try the actual menu items that are not on the dim sum menu next time so we can see what other foods they have! We ordered SO much food and have so many yummy leftovers!

dim sum are not very fresh. Lobsters and crabs are live but more expensive than many of other good places. Generally dishes tastes not very good but pricy. Though says Hong Kong style themselves, while not a Hong Kong quality. Still some space to improve. Reply the follow up: Yes, you are right, the $42 for two lobsters bundle is good and reasonable price. I need clarify here. Mainly the dim sum that day, I was not satisfied, as well as the scallion oil chicken (not expensive, but not fresh, dry and looks dark this time). And, a few other dishes we tried before, were very salty. I do really hope you can improve some of the dishes, as you are a decent Hong Kong restaurant in the neighborhood, and we hope to enjoy some good food there frequently as to the convenience. That's why we expected your improvement. For sure I can tell some better example from other restaurant, if you really want to learn from others. I can tell the details about which dish from which restaurant you may want to reference. I do like to share these information from my experience on dozens of Chinese restaurants.
