The service here is awful since the pandemic! The lobby is supposedly open, but if you try the doors during the posted times on the sign, the doors are locked most of the time. You have no choice but to use the drive thru and your order is rarely correct. If you’re missing an item or want to get it corrected, you have to get back in the drive thru line that is halfway around the building and takes another 20 minutes or more to get through.
Tonight (8/17), we ordered 2 blizzards and a vanilla kiddie cup. We were missing the kiddie cup and of course the doors were locked. We pulled up to the drive thru speaker and told them what we were missing and asked if they could meet us at the door with the cup. The girl replied the lobby was closed. We questioned if they expected us to wait in line another 20 minutes while our other ice cream melted, please just meet us at the door with our missing item and we will be on our way. The girl repeated lobby was closed and if we wanted our missing item we would have to wait in line AGAIN. No offer to remake our blizzards, refund, nothing. What kind of service is this? They need to come up with a better system for these scenarios instead of making customers wait because the staff messed up.
Update 8/22/23-Things are still not better. Have tried to go twice in the last year for blizzards. The store hours list a closing time of 10pm; however, we have gone twice at 9pm and were told they were already closed. I give up, just take your business down the road a bit to Bobby’s in Maryville. It is local and a better product all...
Read moreI've been visiting the Troy location once a week, August thru May, for the past 3 years during my kids dance season. Tonight was the last time. The past 3 to 4 months, something has changed drastically. Every visit, at least one thing in my order has been wrong or missing. The last 4 times I have gone into the store to make a to go order just to make sure I could handle corrections without holding up the drive thru line. Tonight, I ordered something that I have ordered the last 5 times and was told it couldn't be done. I asked why, and was told they never do that. Yet, they have the last 5 times I've visited. Every time there some kind of confusion and I am told something each time. No one seems to know the answer to anything or what they are doing. I don't know what has happened the last 3 to 4 months, but it is causing my family to stop visiting after 3 years of loving this location. I also asked for any contact information for the general manager or owner and was told they didn't have it and weren't allowed to provide anything. Any other place I've asked for this, it was either already posted or freely given. If this is the practice at this location, it is not a good one, and it falls behind any other store. This used to be a fantastically managed store. It is very disappointing to experience how far...
Read moreHey as a customer service worker I understand not always being in a chipper mood but tonight I thought the guy talking to use at the drive thru was joking with how rude he was. Literally thought it was a bit when he said "we have no burgers." Lmao okay things happen. 2 baskets please! "What condiments?" "Can I do gravy for-" "we don't have gravy." Okay, two ranch. Can I also have a medium Georgia mud fudge?" To which I understand if not all dairy queens are the Same and maybe dont have the same menus. but then the guy over the speaker acted pretentious and weird about not knowing what that was. Weird but OKAY my bad I guess I'll just have a regular chocolate fudge blizzard. At this point I could hear a girl laughing over the speaker close to him after everything he said, and assumed he was either genuinely confused and that was funny, or him giving us the run around was funny. He then told me they can't just make a blizzard chocolate with brownies, as I was looking at the chocolate brownie extreme on the menu. I wanna say the food was good, but our toast was unbuttered and not sliced like I was gnawing on a sponge, and after all that some blonde girl (the one laughing I assume) was dead staring at us...
