I'm a truck driver. I had to walk up to the window because the lounge was closed due to their staff shortage.
That wasn't a problem lots of places are doing the same thing. Some places won't take your order unless you use their mobile app if you don't have a car to use the drive-thru.
The problem I had with this location was the fact that they took my order when there weren't any cars, in the drive-thru had me wait 15 minutes, but when cars came within the 15 minutes I was waiting, they prioritized the customers in the vehicles and just had me standing out side in the cold while they served 3 cars their orders before they handed me mine and possibly would have serviced more customers in vehicles if I hadn't blocked the drive way waiting at the window.
All of the cars that came in after I ordered had put their orders in at the menu board, they weren't mobile orders that were scheduled a head of time. I just don't understand why walk-ups should be treated any different then a customer in a vehicle it should all be in order of how you ordered.
I can under stand if it was just a drink or some fries, but these people were getting full on meals and everything. I could see their food being bagged from the curb across from the drive thru window where I was standing.
So it wasn't like they thought I walked off after taking my order. They could see me standing there.
It is ridiculous how they treat walk up orders at this location. Most of the walk-ups are the truck drivers staying at one of the truck stops either the TA or the Pilot they share a parking lot with. You know we drive long hours, some work everyday of the week only getting our 10hr reset. We don't get to go home like normal people and when we stop driving for the day we would like to be treat like any other normal customer.
I hope something changes in the future or else I don't see myself or many other truckers going to this location if we are going to get treated like second class citizens, just because we don't have a vehicle to drive up to the speaker menu to get our orders...
Read moreWe were kind of excited to try Jack in the Box for the first time. So we go in and the teenage boy behind the counter was polite, but not very helpful when we were asking him about the different things and also told him we've never ate there before. So we started to order a motley of foods to try a little bit of everything. We ordered burgers, fries, tacos, onion rings, bacon cheddar wedges, and iced coffee.
My companion ordered his tacos without lettuce and when the guy who was making the tacos saw this on the screen he loudly exclaimed, "This isn't Taco Bell. People are ridiculous." Dude, I'm so sorry that I actually saved you time by NOT having you put the lettuce on there. Does Jack in the Box have a problem with people ordering tacos without lettuce? If they do, I wished I had known ahead of time from the get-go so I wouldn't have spent the good amount of money I did here.
So it only went further down from there. They were very slow and I watched the drive thru person take things from the bag of my order twice to fill her orders while mine was being filled. The counter guy dropped my onion rings as he was putting them in the bag, which was no biggie, but even further delayed my order. A woman finally came over to get my order fully prepared and knocked the full bag against the counter, dropping it, but caught it before it hit the floor. This would explain how all of my food was out of their containers when I opened the bag.
I took a quick trip into the restroom before leaving with my food and walked right back out because it was so dirty and awful smelling. There was toilet paper all over the place, filthy toilets, and trash hanging out of the trash can. The toilets next door were cleaner than here and it's a truck stop!
The tacos were so greasy. The fries and wedges were soggy. The onion rings were decent. The hamburger was meh. The iced coffee was pretty good. Overall, it was a sad first time for me to eat Jack in the Box and most likely,...
Read moreThe food was good. But the only issues is that the cashier didn't put no hot sauce for the monster tacos on the receipt and it didn't pop up on the screen that they look at. My husband is the one that ordered the tacos and he said very clearly no hot sauce and the cashier even repeated the order back correctly. When he went up he just told them that it has hot sauce on it and he ordered it without and it's like the guy that had short like curly hair and the cashier wanted to argue with him about it cuz they were like well it doesn't say that on the screen so clearly u didn't say no hot sauce and he said I did say no hit sauce the cashier even repeated the order correctly to me and they said okay we will just make u another one without it. The manager wasn't there. Then this other guy young kid long hair making the burgers n other stuff , tall and skinny wasn't wearing a hair net and his hair went to his shoulders if ur gonna be making food for people u should have ur hair up or in a hair net to keep your hair out of customers food. He was swearing and yelling so loud that every customer could hear it totally unprofessional in my opnion it was pretty uncomfortable to be there at that moment and then he just walked out after throwing a fit about having to make 3 burgers for a customer. And yelling, swearing and complaining how he hates working here and just over all complaining about his job. The food we didn't have a problem with once they remade the tacos without the hot sauce. But just having to hear the employee swearing and yelling , complaining about his job was uncomfortable to be around so we just left. Why bother keeping an employee like that is beyond me. This young girl that was putting the food in the bags in the drive through with long black hair that went way passed the shoulders didn't have her hair up either or in a hair net. Like I said in my opnion if your gonna work around food u should at least have a hair net or at least have...
