Dined Tues., April 26 from 545p-930p. The service, food, and atmosphere were all very nice/good. It was the first time for me and I would dine again. I love fresh warm bread, I think this had butter or oil on it and I did not care for that, just a personal preference (BUT that didn’t stop me from eating it LOL). Most guests would enjoy fresh baked, warm bread. The salad was fresh, crisp, cold!! Water glass was always full. Beef Tip Linguine, was very flavorful, pasta was cooked right, it had plenty of beef and the other ingredients mixed in, large portion, needed a to-go box. Chicken Piccata; taste was very good, portion could have been bigger, one more piece of chicken. It did come with a good size side of pasta. We are a little confused about the way the chicken was prepared and the menu description. Menu indicated, “sautéed Chicken”. Both us would take that to mean no breading, either no coating or a light flour dusting. Especially since the other description indicates “Sauteed breaded”. She tries to stick to a certain diet (health reasons) so the breading was not really what she expected. We were busy visiting and she didn’t bother to question the waiter about it. She tried to scrape some of the breading off. · VEAL MARSALA Veal medallions sautéed with mushrooms …. · CHICKEN PICCATA Sautéed chicken with capers … · CHICKEN PARMIGIANA Sautéed breaded chicken topped with….. · VEAL FLORENCE Sautéed veal in garlic and olive oil … I loved the high top booths and ceiling hangings, they are perfect if you are there to visit and enjoy your company. If you like to people watch and you are there to be seen or to see.…sit at a table or at the bar. Maybe we’ll see ya there for happy hour!!!! I hope there are good drink specials!!!
Some reviews reference as to whether a restaurant is "Real Italian, Mexican, Chinese," or how “Authentic” Italian, Mexican, Chinese, may or may not be. Just a few comments about that and …. a little bit about myself before I get started. … what ever it’s worth. I am of one hundred percent Italian descent and the friend I dined with is as well. One parent and 3 grandparents were born and raised in Italy, one grandmother and my father were US born. I love to cook and eat ;-). I have traveled/eaten in several regions of Italy not just the family home and hometown. Each region, village, city and family makes similar dishes different from the next. My family cooks Italian dishes. They may be similar but they are not like any other families cooking or restaurant …. And they are MY favorite and that is what “authentic” Italian food is to my family and me. I do not dine at an Italian restaurant expecting to find food that is like my nonna’s or my mothers. Cooking and eating is very personal to each individual. I either like the food or don’t, for what it is. Referring to how authentic it is really is a completely different subject. Many restaurant ethnic foods are...
Read moreMy friends and I decided to try this restaurant out for the first time the week of Christmas and given the overall good reviews, we were anticipating good food and good service. We made reservations and were seated fairly quickly which we appreciated. Once seated, this is when our dining experience made a turn for what ended up being one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. Our waiter was an older man by the name of Daniel, I think that was his name. It took a while for him to take our drink orders and by a while, we're talking, painfully long. It was busy that night with larger tables but they seemed to be getting attended to much faster than us(there was five of us in total). Throughout our dining experience, our waiter kept walking past us, never checking on us and finally when he took our order, was blatantly snippy with me. We never had our drinks refilled, didn't get items replenished that we requested and basically waited for what felt like an eternity for our food to come out. Meanwhile, people at tables all around us were being served and people were finishing up and leaving and in the main dining area, we were one of the last tables to leave because we were largely neglected the whole night. I don't like leaving negative reviews as a general rule of thumb but the lack of service and overall neglect we experienced has left all of us not wanting to ever return again. The food by the way, was really good as was the hostess that initially greeted us. Unfortunately, our waiter ruined our holiday dinner. I sincerely, hope that there is regular quality control for such things because the neglect and attitude we got from out waiter almost felt intentional and we were not rude but he most definitely was. Our dining experience didn't have to be like this. ...
Read moreFirst, let me start off by saying we have been going to this restaurant for 5+ years. We have hosted 4 events there for baptisms and birthdays and had dinner there occasionally as well. Food has always been good and waiters always great. HOWEVER, we and our family will no longer dine here again because of the managers disrespectful behavior. At our last event, we were charged to bring in our own cake which the owner (Frank) and Nan forgot to mention when I booked it and was never listed in the contract or menu. They stated they told me, they didn’t, then claimed it was on our receipt when we booked, it wasn’t, then claimed it was in the catering menu it wasn’t and still isn’t. When I questioned him and explained everything they were saying was false and was not listed anywhere and that we were being charged a fee they never mentioned after spending $1,000+ for the event he stated “if I didn’t like it, please don’t back here to his restaurant again” of course after he’s been paid for the event. Really?! Shockingly your willing to lose a long time customer over $50 because they called you out on overcharging them? They mentioned they charge the fee because they lose out by customers not buying THEIR desserts, well maybe you should start making cakes then? The $50 wasn’t even the point anymore, it was the disrespect and expectation that they “deserved” our business and money because of Covid and “businesses are hurting” he said. We ALL have been affected by Covid and work hard for our money. We could have easily taken our business elsewhere and will do going forward. I also wonder if he would have spoken to my husband in the same manner. When a customer has paid you for a service, regardless of who they are, be respectful, especially when they’ve dined with you...
