I have been SEARCHING for some great ramen, and I think I have finally found it! I went once and thought it could have been good simply because I have been wanting some good hot ramen, but now after going twice and trying the same kind I had the first time, I can confidently say that this is the BEST ramen I have had in my search for good ramen. I got the Chicken Paitan with black garlic sauce added to it and added a smidgen of chili oil.
It was absolutely wonderful. A full-bodied chicken broth with the velvety black garlic sauce added to make it smooth and creamy, ramen noodles cooked perfectly with just the right amount of chew and so many great veggies and a jamy egg to boot! This is so good you will continue to want to eat even after you are so full, you can't eat anymore. You order at the counter when you walk in, and they give you a number to take to your seat so the waitress or waiter can find you when they bring your order to you. Simple and easy.
Take my word for it, if you love ramen like me or just looking for a great bowl of hot soup now that fall is here, go to Shiromaru! The service is great and the atmosphere is wonderful. They can get really busy in the evening and you may have to wait for a table, but it is worth it!
The two pictures are of my Chicken Paitan and my best mates ramen. He got the veggie ramen with tofu cutlets. Both...

Read more2024: Went again and the Ramen is still really good. Had the Red Tonkotsu and enjoyed it. I also had a spicy salmon sushi which was very good. This place does not take reservations. When we arrived we stood in line for about 10 minutes and you place your order with the cashier before you sit down and they bring it to the table. If you ask for water, they give you the glass and you need to fill it at the pop machine. I still like this place and recommend it.
2022: Dropped in on Thursday around 6:30pm and it was not busy. There were two of us and we ordered a Tonkotsu Ramen and Chicken Paitan Ramen (Spicy). Both of them were really good. There are many Ramen places popping up in Southeast MI so we have a good variety of places to choose from. One thing we noticed is the Ramen is more expensive ($15) here but the portion size is smaller compared to other Ramen places. Not sure why there is a charge to make it spicy, I’ve never encountered that before. I will say the Ramen we had here was better than most places in MI so maybe that is why the price is higher. I would recommend this place and we will be back to try some different...
