UPDATED REVIEW
Our second time eating here was a MUCH better experience, and most likely what is considered the norm for what it's like when dinning at Woods Fort. 😊
We ordered guacamole bites with sweet chili sauce, chicken tenders, and their Cajun chicken Alfredo.
The guacamole bites were fire, the pasta was good, the chicken tenders were very dry (not sure if they were fried too long, but my wife had a hard time finishing them).
Service was prompt and the staff was friendly! We will definitely be eating here, again. Thank you for showing us what Woods Fort is really about! 👍
ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW (resolved immediately and graciously by the manager)
First time eating here because we heard the food was good. We entered the restaurant at 6:20. Our waitress didn't come to our table to get our order in until 6:39, 19 minutes later. My side salad that came with my entree shows up 10 minutes later, but no appetizer. Now I'm here writing the review at 7:10, STILL no order (not even our appetizer)...
In the midst of it all, another family comes in approximately 20 minutes after us, immediately gets their drinks, then shortly after, they are delivered an appetizer.
I failed to mention that this was on a Tuesday night and fairly slow (pictures for proof).
I understand that there are "off" nights, but by the time I will be finished writing this review, we would be approaching a 50 minute wait time.
Our waitress comes over, without food in hand and says, "Is everything okay over here?"
We were confused, because we obviously hadn't been served anything, nor provided any additional service between our salad and the 50 minute mark. At that point, we instructed the waitress we would pay for the salad, but needed to go.
She got her manager, who came out after another short wait with two to-go boxes in her hands. She stated that it wasn't all of our order, just our appetizer and one of our two entrées, but she packed what was ready if we wanted to pay for it. She also told me that there were other orders that came in before ours, hence the wait (which I'm unsure how that's a reasonable excuse, given the fact that orders always come in the order they were placed, such is normal restaurant protocol).
We've never had a wait this long at an establishment with no results. I told her we didn't want the order any longer after that experience and that we'd be taking our business elsewhere. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

Read moreThis was once one of my favorite spots. Best food in the area in my opinion. Sadly I’m not sure that I’ll go back. Over the past few years, they’ve changed the place up a couple times. It looks really nice; comfortable place to go eat. But the menu has progressively gotten worse and worse. With it the food quality has gotten worse as well. Still I’ve frequented the place trying to be tolerant of the other changes that have happened in the world and patiently waiting for things to improve. However recently, the restaurant is just not worth it anymore. The menu is absolutely disappointing. There’s no effort in the menu or the food coming out of the kitchen. Service is way too slow for a place that’s never really too busy. My last experience I waited 1 hour and 45 min for a meal that wasn’t even correct when we finally got it. The only reason we waited that long was someone in my party really wanted a particular menu item and it was getting too late to go somewhere comparable. Everything offered was a disappointment. Food was terrible. On top of that the waitress was absent most of the time, no drinks filled, no visit from a manager, nothing. We could see them clearly just hanging out behind the hostess stand most of the night not serving anyone else either. This has topped off a very steady decline in the...
Read moreThey catered our wedding last weekend and it was absolutely perfect! Kelly had reached out to us 6 months from our wedding after a different caterer we had hired fell through and we were scrambling to find someone. I’m SO HAPPY it worked out the way it did. Her customer service was amazing- she was always communicating with us and we had multiple tastings to ensure we got what we wanted. We also had some dietary restrictions and vegans in our close family circle. Woods fort made the mashed potatoes vegan (no cows milk or butter) and they were phenomenal!! Not a single person in my family knew (and they grew up on a dairy farm! Lol). They also made sure those family members had their own vegan plate to enjoy a large meal. We also had the caprese chicken, salmon, and beef tenderloin medallions and it was the best meal I’ve ever had at a wedding!! If it says anything to the quality of their food, we had leftovers and just finished them last night, 4 days after the big day, and it was just as tasty as our wedding night. If you want a reasonably priced delicious menu that people will talk about, book...
