New China — Restaurant in Troy

The food, as always, was delicious. Colonel So chicken (my family's hands down favorite) & Mai Gai Po Yung - you realize I can't spell the last dish, but I hope you know what I'm talking about because it is full of a tasty collection of vegetables, sure to please - well, if you like veggies! We ordered some Chinese noodles, to have for lunch the next day. Usually old boy answers the phone & takes my order. Him & I have no problem communicating. But on this occasion a woman answered the phone. Screech to a stop!! I was having a hard time understanding her. I could get an English word littered thru her talk. I told her two or three times of my difficulty. Finally, she responded: Easy. "this" for "that". 🤔 Hmm. I earnestly tried...it dawned on me that she was speaking Chinese. Hmmm. After wrangling with words & her & my mind that couldn't figure out anything. Well, eventually my order was placed. The food was the same high quality as ever - that gets a four or five definitely. The low score l have given is all due to the fact that the employee I had to deal with could barely speak English, causing a five minute interaction take fifteen minutes, also causing much frustration & negative stuff. GO TO GOLDEN WOK PAY THE EXTRA COUPLE $$$. This WAS an all time favorite of mine last few times the food or service was just wrong/rude. Tonight I decided lets get some New China I ordered Sesame Chicken White Rice and Crab Rangoon. Got there the lady confirmed my food. When I got home I realized I got Sweet and Sour Chicken instead. Now I LOVE chinese food so Im not to picky so I said whatever and started eating I couldnt eat more than a few bites all and all. The Chicken was rock hard, rice was extremely dry and crab rangoon wasnt even done the sweet and sour sauce was just absolutely nasty. When I called Inwas in the wrong in their eyes. ? Time before I went they over charged it was suppose to be 11.50$ they charged over 20$. Inwas told it was my fault for not checking the reciept. Time before that I called around 3 and asked for the lunch special I was basically yelled at stating Lunch was over. They have fallen flat on food and customer service I will...

It’s HOT in here …. NO A/C ?? Atmosphere? 🤔They screamed LOUDLY back & forth dining room to kitchen ….in their language the entire time you’re trying to eat & my sesame chicken combo was literally FLAVORLESS! There’s no vegetables in it either ! (& do not go by the prices in the pics above where you order / the REAL PRICE in $2 more ( in the menu she points out AFTERWARDS. ) Not a good choice !( sometimes little places can be a great surprise ). BUT NOT THIS TIME … for the SAME PRICE….. I could’ve enjoyed the Chinese Buffet right across the street AND w/ MUCH , MUCH BETTER FOOD QUALITY AS WELL …. I learned my lesson! Please don’t be disappointed by going here ! Couldn’t wait to go home & eat something( ANYTHING ) to get this nasty , stinky taste...
