We've been several times and usual have a pleasant experience. It's a cozy Mexican restaurant with extensive choices. The portion sizes are large enough to bring home another meal. The service is usually ok at best and the last couple servers haven't been very pleasant. We'll be back and have brought out of town guests.

Update: we ordered takeout the other day and ordered a quesadilla. What we got was a half filled tortilla folded in half. There was barely any cheese and the meat was sparse. For what our bill was, we expected quite a bit more. We've eaten in countless times but this was our first time with carryout. It seems portions are much smaller if you do take out, but for the same price. Kind of a bummer.

Update August 2022: this was most likely our last time ever going here. I placed an order on the phone for pickup and was told 20 to 25 minutes. I got to the restaurant around the 30 minute mark and ended up waiting until almost the hour mark before my food came out. When I placed the order I confirmed that two of the items I ordered were off of the "sides" menu for $3.99. When I went to pay at pickup, he tried charging me $9 for each of the two sides that I ordered, doubling our bill. When I corrected him he argued with me, even after I told him that I confirmed the price on the phone. Clearly irritated that I corrected him, he fixed the bill and threw it down at me and walked away. I dine out for the food, of course, but also for the experience. The servers and, who I'm assuming is the manager, are so rude and completely ruined this place for us. We are very understanding people especially at restaurants, but this place...

Very cute atmosphere, well done and looks authentic. Dined in at noon and service was great, seated right away.

Chips and salsa on the table quickly along with the ice tea I ordered. If you're ok with plain salsa then you'll be fine with their red salsa. I would suggest if you want better flavor just start out with the more flavorful green salsa.

A chili Relleno is my Mexican food top of the list, first item I order from any new place I try. The Relleno was not a whole pepper, sliced in half lengthwise and topped with a generous amount of seasoned burger and no cheese. The burger was tasty had good flavor and plenty of it. Just not my idea of a chili relleno. Would not order again.

The refried beans are the same as every other mexican fair but I still liked them. Amazingly, the rice was the highlight of the meal and I NEVER like Spanish rice. This was very flavorful and different.

Would definitely go back and try other items and order off the "Combination" menu. Their prices are reasonable and amounts are generous, employees very efficient and friendly. No problem going back again, just would not order the...

Ok, I've been going to this place literally for 20 years plus I've lived here but here's the deal. I LOVE, love, LOVE the food. It literally cannot be beat. But the service at times is really incredibly off the rails rude and THIS attitude can absolutely DESTROY a business. It has for me and my husband ☝🏼🤨 HOWEVER..... IF YOU - Dos Primos- begin to address some of these ONE STAR complaints (that are about the same thing btw) we will reconsider! But NOT UNTIL THEN !!! We came in, was told our wait would be around 10 minutes. The clock ticked past 20 minutes and then a few Spanish people came in and they were immediately seated and THAT DID IT!!!! We saw that we were apparently THE WRONG RACE TO BE TREATED AS A CLIENT. Instead we were treated like a nuisance so we LEFT DISGUSTED and dropped $60.00 at the other Mexican restaurant in town - who seated us WITH A SMILE within 2 minutes! So.... IF you want 1) our business and 2) this review to change YOU 🫵🏼🤨 Dos Primos, Have the power to fix this! The ball is...

The food here is good and consistent, the service however....isn't. We eat here at least once a week so the servers know us, however, they aren't friendly, I feel like they could care less if we're there. They MAY come check on you once if you're lucky. They don't refill drinks and more often than not, you have to go get your own to go box and go to the counter to get your check. We've overheard other tables saying the exact same thing. The owner used to be fairly friendly but even he barely acknowledges when you go to pay, no eye contact or thanks for coming in. If you want a quick Mexican meal, this is it, if you're looking for good service or even just a friendly face, keep looking 😕👀
