I have been a patron since hoshi was on wheels. Unfortunately, since they have hired Grace, that takes people's orders (pretty much the face of the company) my family of 6 and I have not been coming as often. Last night I noticed you can order online, as I was doing so I told my husband I know it's taking longer but at least this way I won't get cut off and spoken to like a total idiot... so I walk into pick up my order with my son and Grace is on the phone with a customer and per ususal was speaking to the customer like the cuatomer was an idiot. While she was on the phone my son and I were talking about the new sodie they had on the counter. She hangs up, inserts herself into our conversation to RUDELY interrupt and correct me. I nicely acknowledged her rudeness by saying ok and stepped back and waited for her to adjust her attitude. She finally decided to ask me if I was placing an order or if I was picking up. Never in my life have I had to bite my tongue so much with one person. I spend almost $100 every time I go there and if the food wasn't as good as it is, I'd quit coming solely because of her. I have also made this complaint verbal (I finally had enough and called the store) but I see on all these reviews, Grace and her lovely attitude has been mentioned several times and still she treats Hoshi's customers like we are...

When I first set foot in this Japanese sushi restaurant, tucked away in a nondescript strip mall, Iโll admit my expectations werenโt sky-high. The exterior and the simple, clean interior did little to hint at the culinary excellence that awaited us. But oh, how I was pleasantly surprised!
The magic truly began once we delved into their menu. Deciding to try one of their fried rolls, I was absolutely floored. It wasnโt just good โ it was mind-blowing. Every bite was a perfect harmony of flavors and textures, a testament to the skill hidden in this unassuming location. My friends, who opted for a variety of dishes, echoed my sentiments. Each dish was a revelation, surpassing our expectations and leaving us wanting more.
This experience was a stark reminder of the old adage, โDonโt judge a book by its cover.โ The food here stands toe-to-toe with, and in many cases surpasses, what youโd find in fancier, sit-down restaurants.
If youโre in the mood for an authentic Japanese culinary experience that will leave your taste buds dancing, do not overlook this place. Itโs more than just a restaurant; itโs a hidden treasure waiting to be discovered by more discerning diners. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a...
ย ย ย Read moreSo just had dinner here as I had been wanting to stop by for quote some time. Unfortunately it did not live up to the hype I see people posting about it. Let's start with the basic fried rice. This was sticky and not fried correctly, my only guess is they did not let the white rice sit overnight as ypu are supposed to and just dumped fresh sticky rice in the wok. We got the hibachi combos, both had chicken that was excessively dry. So it's probably pre cut and refrigerated. Whatever sauce is used was excessively watered down. The Scallops were surprisingly good. The shrimp was just ok. Ordered some California rolls just to try, the rice was extra sticky but ovwrall the roll was pretty good. Had an order of crab rangoon , it was what you would expect except for the fact they are light on the filling. We may try some other rolls but the hibachi is a hard pass at this point.
One other note, the cash register when ypu pay asks for a tip. Skip this, and give 0 tip. They do not bring you your food and there is no exceptional service. What is the point of tipping on service that was...
