I had the absolute delight of visiting Shoreline Seafood Market recently with a dear friend, and I can’t stop thinking about it! From the moment we walked in, we were transported to a charming, northwest coastal haven—fresh, bright, and full of character.

The food? Exquisite. Every bite was a celebration of color, texture, and flavor—clearly prepared with care and top-quality ingredients. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing something to take home, the selection is superb. The refrigerated cabinets were brimming with beautiful prepared items, and the wine pairings were a thoughtful, elegant touch.

The staff were incredibly warm, helpful, and clearly passionate about what they do. It felt like being welcomed into a friend’s seaside kitchen, where hospitality and great taste go hand in hand.

Although it's a bit of a hike from Eastern Henrico, if you're in Glen Allen or Short Pump or don't mind a drive, then don't miss out on this gem. Although the owner has roots at Yellow Umbrella Provisions, this is a modern "fish market" concept centered on high-quality and difficult to find fish and seafood items. I love the open case which features the daily offerings on ice, the dining bar with open kitchen if you'd like to enjoy a quick lunch and the option to attend their more fancy small dinners by reservation. I shop here most for the prepared foods, many have an Asian bent to them but I love the seafood sauce I pair with ravioli and fresh shrimp, scallops or lobster, the potatoes with the herb butter and by far my favorite is the Lobster Salad which has a wonderful citrus note. Shoreline is also a great place to get the Flour Garden baguettes, tinned seafood and has a small selection of dry...

I am a HUGE fan of this wonderful place!! The lunches there are always outstanding....the seafood is always fresh and the menu is consistently great with very tasty items. I especially love the grilled fish sandwich they have daily along with the local greens salad they make. The service that the wait staff offer is another wonderful part of the experience....very attentive and friendly. I go there often and have never had a bad meal or ever anything less than great service. That is saying a lot. I have been to the 10 course dinner they offer one time and cannot say enough good about that experience as well. On top of all that the prepared food selection is over the top. I often buy some of their prepared meals after my lunch and the quality of those offerings are phenomenal. The atmosphere and decor are also a plus. I cannot recommend this very special...
