My family and I usually dine in but yesterday I decided to order take out instead. Well, I ordered my food and waited for my food by the front. I noticed the young ladies cleaning off the tables. Well, the half used or unused salsas that the former customer had on their table, the ladies would combine them in a new bowl instead of discarding the salsas. 2nd thing I noticed that was not sanitary for the customers. The containers that they use to put dirty dishes and trash from the tables is under the table by the window of the kitchen. When it gets full the ladies would put the nasty containers on the counter where the kitchen members put customers food when its ready. When the kitchen workers take it to the back all you see is wetness that came from the bottom of those containers. Not once did the counter get sanitize and not once did the young ladies wash their hands as well. I tried to request a refund due to me not wanting to eat the food that cost me over $60 and just feeling disgusted on what I seen but of course they did not...
Read moreBeing from California we have a different style of Mexican food. After 8 mo. of looking for a good Mexican restaurant I found this little jewel.
I've had a carne asada taco and a carne asada burrito both were really good.
Now the people do look at you weird if your not Hispanic but me being the bubbly person i am that didn't bother me, i was able to clarify how i wanted my burrito since they make it a little different from back home. they have a more authentic style but still delicious. I'm going back. the cheese dip is good but very spicy ( not to me but i have a high tolerance). i love the red sauce but all of their sauces are delicious and homemade. only thing i would like to see different so far is maybe have someone who speaks English to help those of us who haven't learned Spanish. when i first ordered my food we had trouble communicating but the other waitress came back from break who spoke English and was able to help. but again THE CARNE ASADA WAS GOOD. GREAT HOMEMADE...
Read moreMy whole family, and everyone I've ever taken here, loves Mi Taco! The prices are great, service is better than what you would expect (no Michelin stars, but definitely a few notches above Waffle House), and the food is ALWAYS on point. They recently gave the dining room a face lift, it looks great: fresh local artist murals, tiled floors, the whole front counter is updated, and a modern POS system. The only complaint I have is the music volume, it's just too loud for such a small dining room, kinda rattles my brain some times.
The "Mi Taco Dip" is our all time favorite which is a mix of grilled skirt steak, shrimp and chicken covered with queso and a little pico, and corn or flour tortillas on the side. It's a perfect serving size and always satisfies.
Our other favorites are the nachos supremos (huge portion, almost enough for two), huaraches (my favorite is chorizo), carne asada platter, and their taco game is on point.
If you're also a Taco Veloz fan, you'll...
