Dear Popeyes,
I am writing to express my profound disappointment and outrage regarding the racist practices that I have experienced at your establishment. As a customer who believed in the brand's values and enjoyed the food, I am appalled by the treatment I have received.
During my recent visit to one of your locations, I was subjected to blatant racial discrimination. The staff members displayed disrespectful behavior and made derogatory comments towards me based solely on my race. Not only did they refuse to serve me promptly, but they also falsely told me and my family that the drive through was closes after waited to take our order, only to continue to serve everyone behind us.
I find it absolutely unacceptable that a renowned company like Popeyes, which claims to promote inclusivity and diversity, would allow such behavior to occur within its premises. It is disheartening to witness the lack of cultural sensitivity and basic human decency among your employees.
Racism has no place in our society, and it should be vehemently condemned in all its forms. It is deeply disappointing to see a company that I once respected and enjoyed patronizing stoop to such discriminatory practices. I had hoped that Popeyes would be an ally in the fight against racism, but my recent experience has shattered that illusion.
I urge you to take immediate action to rectify this situation and hold the individuals responsible for their appalling behavior accountable. Additionally, it is imperative that you implement thorough training programs to educate your employees on cultural sensitivity, diversity, and the importance of treating all customers with respect.
Until I witness a genuine commitment from Popeyes to eradicate racism within its organization and provide a safe and inclusive environment for all customers, I will be boycotting your establishment and encouraging others to do the same. I will also be sharing my experience on various platforms to ensure that others are aware of the discriminatory practices I encountered.
I sincerely hope that you take this matter seriously and make the necessary changes to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future. Your actions will determine whether Popeyes remains a symbol of discrimination or evolves into a company that champions equality and...
Read moreI have been to Popeye's numerous times throughout my life, primarily because of their chicken. Yesterday was the first time since I relocated to Georgia I went to Popeye's. My family decided to try our luck at attempting to try out the Chicken sandwich since it made its initial debut in August and made its permanent return earlier this month. We were able (finally) to get our hands on it and we ordered the spicy version. I wanted to see what all of the hype was regarding this sandwich.
I will be honest: I was excited to try it; however, I did not get too excited because at the end of the day it is food. Furthermore, as much as I am a fan of Popeye's chicken due to my very specific taste preferences and more importantly my numerous good food experiences, I wanted to keep an open mind about the sandwich. I could've eaten this sandwich and end up being quite disappointed with the flavors due to my own taste preferences.
Let me tell you, the hype is well earned (at least with the spicy version). I have never been disappointed with Popeye's chicken personally and the spicy version definitely is one more good food experience. The spicy boneless chicken breast was even better than I thought in terms of the spice. It was an excellent balance of spicy and flavorful. I will caveat that as a daughter of Caribbean parents, Popeye's chicken's spicy level is not too potent. I have had way more potently spicy foods than that in my life so far, but I digress. The Hawaiian bread had the perfect taste of sweetness without being too sweet. To be fair, Hawaiian bread is always flavorful and delicious. When you take into account the spicy/savory mayonnaise and the perfectly brined pickles which were tangy, slightly salty, and most importantly, a great vinegary flavor, you get a major hit.
With all of that said, I will probably wait until all of the shenanigans have passed before I will make another attempt at obtaining the spicy version of the chicken sandwich. This time around I will also attempt to try the original version to see if it is as worth the hype as the...
Read moreI went inside to place an order. When I arrived, I only saw 1 cook and 1 cashier, and the cashier worked both the front counter and drive through window. I felt bad for the cashier, because she was moving as fast as she could and dealing with a disgruntled customer ahead of me as well, I had time to spare, so I patiently waited, and didn't want to stress out the young lady more than she was already. Now, after 20 minutes, the customer behind me asked the cashier to speak to the manager, then lo and behold, 2 count'em TWO✌🏿 managers and another worker came out the back office!👀😤 So, me and a another customer in line immediately looked at each other like, "where tf they been this whole time?"🤔 Then, another cook appeared out of nowhere carrying a hot fry basket dripping with grease from the back to the drive through window to ask a customer a question.🤦🏿♂️ Once the two managers and the rest of the crew came out, everyone got their orders quickly. Furthermore, this location is not clean at all, and I highly doubt I'll come here again. I was going to give them 1 star 🌟 , but gave them 2 stars🌟 , because the cashier was professional and doing the best job she could under the circumstances;I pray she finds a better less stressful job where her abilities will be more...
