If I could give less than one star I would. I have never met anyone so rude and so disrespectful. I had ordered two meals for takeout after a long day at work. When I got home, my boyfriend and I both noticed something very particular about our food. It was undercooked( the meat) and you could tell it was old. So I called China King to ask if I could get a refund. The woman told me that if I brought it back I could get my refund. So I made the trip back only to be welcomed by an unkept word. After explaining to her that I should at least receive something else if I cannot get a refund, she called the police. In her words,” people like you always like to taste and not buy. “ I was immediately offended by this as I am hard working and I had already paid for my meal. Once the officer arrived he agreed that an exchange or refund would be best, however this was a civil matter and he cannot dictate what happens. While this was happening the cook in the back was yelling and talking over me. I will never eat here again. They completely bamboozled me. Beware....if you don’t like the food or have a complaint about this restaurant and decide to bring it back, they will call the police. I have never been so disrespected at an establishment. It’s not worth the hassle here. Just go...
Read moreShabby pictures and reviews honestly made me not try this place for over a year. I’m upset that I didn’t. I took pictures to give ppl a more accurate look of the food. I ordered the Hot Braised wings and General Tso combo. Both delicious and priced very well.
The ppl complaining about yellow rice isn’t from Atlanta or seemingly any major city. This is definitely NY style Chinese and it’s not yellow rice like the bag kind it’s fried rice with a yellow color because of the chicken stock seasoning they use to fry the rice with. The ppl complaining must be use to that boring soy sauce based fried rice. I’ve had the same yellow fried rice at any legit real Chinese spot around Atlanta. Super delicious.
The braised wings are my favorite because it’s actually braised sauce and not just this random brown sweet sauce. The wings are whole wings and had a great coating of crunch on them. The Hot and Sour soup is really delicious and came with fresh mushrooms. The pork egg rolls are meaty not cabbage stuffed, I prefer lots of cabbage so maybe if you like the cabbage also go for the spring roll.
Also saw fresh vegetables being used and my wings were fried fresh right...
Read moreEdit: Although I loved them the first time I ate there they told me they can not make general tsos without breading and well seeing as how I wrote a review about it they obviously have for me in the last as it is an allergy that I have. Now they are unwilling to make general tsos without the breaded chicken. I cancelled my order politely and he called me back asking if I wanted to cancel the whole order. I said yes the whole thing and told him that I thought he was being very rude and abusive. He told me exactly this over the phone 'ORDER CHICKEN FROM OTHER PLACE!' And slammed the phone down in my ear. Never will I ever eat here again. You saddened me China King.
Loved it. Best in area. Wish the general tsos was more spicy but I noticed a spicier option ill try next time...
