CAUTION: FOOD POISONING

This order is for Maggiano's Classic Italian that is run out of the kitchen of Chili's restaurant as a virtual kitchen only available through doordash.

Had door dash from here last night. I was in a hurry so I skipped my usual step of checking Google reviews when selecting a restaurant. Boy do I regret that today. (Not that there are any reviews for Maggiano's specifically. It took some digging to figure out where they were actually operating out of.

When the food arrived, the hot entrees were very hot. And rather than putting the salads in a separate bag, they were placed on top of the hot food.

Anyone who knows anything about food safety should know this is a risky practice.

I almost tossed the salads in the garbage, but the total order had been over $60 for three entrees. The salad on top seemed ok. The one on bottom, the bottom of the container was warm to the touch, but the salad on the bottom didn't seem warm, just not cold.

I shared my concerns with my partner, but we both decided it was probably ok since we live close enough to the restaurant that the salads weren't exposed to heat very long.

Enter this morning...I wake up and have to rush to the toilet for several rounds of the most violent dihharea I've ever experienced. Shortly thereafter my partner was running to the bathroom for several rounds of violent vomiting.

Thankfully my elderly mother with health issues did not have a salad and was ok.

The food quality was also terrible. The salads were fresh, the bread sticks were good albeit obviously prefab frozen ones. The meat in lasagna was over-fenneled and couldn't taste much meat because of it. The spaghetti was blah. My seafood lasagna was ok. The taste was there but the texture wasn't and it was not presented in a very appetizing way.

The reason we know it had to be the salad is that was the only thing my partner and I had in common, and the only thing my mom didn't have that we did.

So in reality, this meal cost us...

Meal price: $68.19 Lost wages: $258 Medicine: $15

And my partner most likely not being able to eat Italian food again for a very long time.

Please don't order take out...

Waiter was friendly food was above average how ever we waited about 10 minutes after we were seated b4 we even got water and it took almost 50 minutes to get our food I asked the Waiter for their tablet that goes on table he stated he didn't know where it was I then asked him how we could log in for our rewards he again stated some one must of took it. I looked around and saw them on other tables. My grandson usually plays the games etc on tablet but he seamed to ignore us. It also took long to get our check. When I went to bathroom I noticed the trash cans were o error filled to floor and dirty. I advised them and about a hour later they were even worst. Again food was good server was nice but service poor and failed to respond we didn't even get refill with out asking. Place was busy in begin in but got real slow. Sad thing is we live next to this one but don't care for the way we're taken care of. Lol during the time I wrote this some of the people at my table ordered the cookie Desert with ice cream a while later the server came back and said they were out of Ice cream and that they sent some one to Walmart to get some and Walmart was out. I laughed. He then returned with my check and stated he took the desert off the bill. Lol I said thanks since we...

Sat in table 52 for what it's worth. Server may or may not have been named Danielle? Only reason went to Chili's was because it appeared to be the least busiest restaurant in the area. Now I now why. The entire staff was lethargic. The hostess/host appeared to be late to work, waited a few minutes to be seated. The only thing nice I can say about our server was that her Harry Potter Glasses were pretty cool looking. Some guy with a Jim Carrey Dumb and Dumber haircut slammed our drinks down at a front corner of the table without even making eye contact making no attempt to divvy them out. We were only given three straws for a party of four. Despite the restaurant being visibly slow our server disappeared for approximately 15-20 minutes before asking to take our order. When she brought out our appetizer she didn't bring plates eventually she brought two, then finally brought the other two moments before Jim Carrey delivered the entrees. At least dumb and dumber made sure everything was delivered to the respective parties. Food was somewhat decent which is the only reason for the higher rating. We were charged for two items that we didn't even order. Fortunately this was eventually cleared up. Guess the moral of the story is don't expect good service in a not so good...
