Had breakfast there this morning to treat my wife but it turned out that the food was not what I thought it was. I went by the pictures that are posted. I no longer cook are am the headcook at my old restuarant. Due to Cancer. Anyways the coffee to start the morning was really bitter. I ordered the #1 breakfast special and my eggs were over cooked when I asked for over medium and not over well. The beans were runny, the hashbrowns were crispy on the outside but like mashed potatoes inside. Toast was not bad except that the waiter comented it was a diet bread. I kind of took that offensive due to that im about 15 pounds over weight but its also because of my Medical problems. My wife ordered the #8 which is the Chilaquillas, eggs and beans. She felt bad but right away asked if she could change out her coffee due to the fact that it was to bitter to drink. She asked for a Dr.Pepper which was from a can which was okay with her. The thing is that I was charged for both even though we sent it back. She really comented that the food was very teastless and the teast she could was a very ugly and unapleasing. She has never in the last 18 years of marriage has ever left her plate this way almost full. The waiter was very good and tried to fill my cup of coffee twice but he was not able to because I never took more than two drinks from it becuse no matter how much freash milk or sugar I added it never to ok that nasty teast away. He said to me as I asked for the ticket or bill as its called. "I can see you didnt like your meal and Ive I would like something else." I said no no thanks and got up to leave. Our meal was only 20.05 but it was not worth that at all Im sorry to say. I did tip the waiter the other 4.95 from 25.00 because I cant blame the sevice on the food. I would not like to post this about a place but it really needs to do better and check the food before its put out on the tables for its customers. Thank you...
Read more1st the chimichanga doesn't come with sour cream or guacamole , cheese and all the stuff a chimichanga comes with. It's just a deep fried burrito. So I ordered a machca taco, it was dry , a room temp cheese enchilada the cheese wasn't even melted the red sauce was just room temp and a been tostada, it wasn't a tostada it was a small deep fried bowl looking thing with little bit of really runny beans. No fountain drinks. You have to buy a can soda. My other half had a chorizo omelet and said it was good.and the hash browns are mashed potatoes mixed with shredded potatoes and browned. It was different. If you order lunch before 11 am and want chips and salsa you have to pay so if I would of got a lunch plater and wanted chips to scoop up the food it would of cost more. Its a penalty charge for ordering lunch an hour early. To top it off I had to ask for salsa for our meal at a Mexican Restaurant. I had to ask for salsa for my dry taco almost cold enchilada and my this is not a tostada. We spent $27 and it wasn't worth the amount of food we got. after I left 10 minutes later I was hungry. Sorry but we won't return but the salsa wasn't bad a little hot but good. The flavour was nice but to hot to really enjoy...
Read moreFirst time coming to Cora's Cafe after hearing so many negative things about this place, and I gotta say - total crazy people. The food here is delicious and I experienced no issues ordering or food quality.
I came in on a weekday for lunch order to go and they were able to get my food to me in about 15-20 minutes wait time - it's better to call ahead. The person taking my order was super patient and was able to help me order things I wasn't familiar with. They have daily specials so be sure to take a look at those!
They gave me a paper menu for next time when ordering in advance - awesome! Friendly people, good food, awesome. I would come here again.
Enchilladas, taco, and burritos all were good! GET THE SALSA - YOU NEED EXTRA SALSA....
