PSA: I went to this Dairy Queen about a month ago with my son and ordered three Blizzards. When the employee handed them to me on a tray, none of them were flipped. I had seen the policy on TikTok and thought it would be funny to mention it, so I did. The employee admitted the mistake and told me he would put my name down for a free Blizzard next time.
Today, I went back with my kids, and only my daughter wanted a Blizzard. When I mentioned the free one I was promised, the owner completely dismissed me. She said there was no record of it, insisted her employees never make mistakes, and basically called me a liar. I was frustrated but told the cashier, “Whatever, I’ll just pay for it.” That’s when my daughter asked me to leave, saying she didn’t even want the ice cream anymore because the whole situation had become so uncomfortable. It was embarrassing and disheartening—especially because this wasn’t just any stop for us. We had just buried my daughter’s grandfather, and this was supposed to be a little pick-me-up for her. Instead, we left feeling even worse.
It’s not about the free Blizzard; it’s about how we were treated. We’re part of this community, yet we were made to feel like we didn’t matter at all. I will never step foot in this...
Read moreParent upset - my daughter and her boyfriend went on 7-6-24 at around 6-645 to DQ on speedway and Silverbell and Its really disappointing hearing from our young adults that they purchased items from one of our favorite establishments DQ for years and years…but really disappointing to hear they have to deal with customer service so rude unwelcoming and unprofessional. To hear they had to be intimidated and bullied into purchasing items that were incorrectly made in the first place and then not even offer to correct the mistake or apologize but rather take away the item wrongly made and already purchased from my daughters boyfriends hand and told by the drive thru lady that she wasnt going to give them something they dont want but purchased and sit there intimidatingly lookin at them to the point that to avoid a scene they just took what the lady was trying to say they had ordered…What in the world kind of customer service is that ! We wont be goin there no more Dairy Queen has gone down so bad. Really sad for an all time favorite to have this kind of customer service experience from it. Train your people better! I dont even give a Star for any category being asked to rate in this review ....
Read moreWhere to begin? Who is hiring or training the staff here? They are always rude, unprofessional, and clueless to resturant etiquette. This merely begins to describe the characteristics of the staff here. I get it, there are a lot of teenagers working here with no direction or leadership on duty. These kids act like you’re in the hallways of a ghetto high school. They can’t greet customers, they can’t take orders correctly, and certainly can’t make orders correct. Ultimately they don’t give a $h!@ about your experience. I have been there and seen this behavior for years. Why am I a glutton for punishment you ask? Well I like to try to support local businesses and especially businesses on the West side of town where there are few options. I repeatedly try to give this place an opportunity to redeem itself and over and over it disappoints me. Can the owners please step up and take responsibility for the crass staff that they continue to hire? I’m asking for a friend. Please accept responsibility and make some changes before everyone stops supporting...
