Before I start on my review, I just wanted to say that you should not go here, and instead, should go to Fito's Taco Shop a few more miles up the road (13303 E Colossal Cave Rd, Vail, AZ 85641) The food is better (4.3 stars as opposed to here 3.3 stars), it is significantly cheaper, and most importantly, the staff is much more friendlier.
I cannot begin to express how incredibly rude and confrontational the staff is at this location. It is probably why they have a 3.9 star rating overall. I had my dash cam on and my sister on the phone during this incident.
As soon as I pulled up to the drive-thru the girl taking my order was rude and short with me. I asked a question about one of the burritos and she responded back sarcastically and rude. I kept a smile on my face because I wasn't sure if she was having a bad day or not. My sister commented on how rude she was once I pulled away from ordering. When I got to the window, I paid cash for my food and I asked for two green and two red salsas (4 in total) to go with my burrito. I always use four salsas and I have never been told no to this request no matter what mexican place I am ordering from in my entire 33 years of existence. I am a native here, so that is a lot of mexican places who have always provided salsa with a happy face. I was told no to the salsas and that I could only have two. I offered to pay for the two extra salsas thinking it wouldn't be more than a dollar. I was told no again. I could not buy the salsas. I was completely perplexed. Why was I not allowed to pay for salsa? I didn't have any interest in eating the burrito without salsa. I confusingly asked again, "So there is no way for me to pay for the other two salsas?" I was told no, but that I could order an 8oz salsa for $3.50..... I was already paying $19 and some change for the burrito. I did not want to spend another $3.50 on an entire 8oz of salsa that would go to waste. At this point I asked for a manager. I was cursed out in Spanish. I am white, but again, I grew up here. I know what the curse words are. I learned that in grade school. I told her I could understand her and she slammed the window in my face. When she came back, I asked for a manager again. She smugly told me there was no manager. I asked when they would be in. She told me she didn't know because there are only the owners, and that they had no managers. I asked for the owners phone number, she said she wouldn't give it to me. At this point, I no longer felt like I wanted to be all smiles while this girl continued to be.... I ran out of characters, but it only gets worse.
I paid $19 and some change to be harassed, cursed out, and assulted. I could not eat the assult burrito for fear of it being spit in. Just do yourself a favor and stay away from this place.

Read moreBAD EXPERIENCE: To be honest I wouldn’t of given 1 star to this place! A couple months ago I ordered food through their drive through. Went up to the window & waited about 10 to 15 minutes. No one came to the window. I went inside & told them I was waited outside & no one came to the window. Lady told me the girl went to lunch who took my order. She pointed to the girl eating @ a table. I let that situation go & went home. BUT TODAY I ordered food through the drive through. I gave my order & wanted 2 ground beef burritos with onions & cheese & some other items. Lady taking my order repeated what I ordered & I told her no that I wanted 2 ground beef burritos with onions & cheese. And of course my other items. She said ok. Went home & my order was wrong!!! I went back & brought everything that was in the bag. Explained to the cashier that I didn’t receive my 2 burritos. They talked with each other in Spanish. They were making my burritos & I asked 3 times who took my order? Lady @ the counter wouldn’t answer me. I finally got my food. I asked her again who took my order & she pointed to a girl (employee) eating her food @ one of the tables. It was the same girl who took my order a couple months ago. I asked her why she didn’t put the 2 burritos on my order? She looked @ me & walked away!!!!!! I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE AGAIN!!!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN! YOU GUYS...
Read moreMy experience with the drive thru was similar to the billion other reviews complaining about the wait. You’d think they would hire more staff (or different staff) after all the bad reviews, but customer service is clearly not a priority there. The styrofoam container that my husbands quesadilla was in was melted almost all the way through, and his quesadilla sitting directly on top of that toxic mess. The kids meal comes with a churro (half a churro actually and literally looks like it was broken/torn in half) which was sitting on top of the other food, so all the food had cinnamon and sugar all over it (French fries and bean burrito)—most of the fries had to be thrown out they were so covered in it. Perhaps the biggest issue in my opinion was no sauce. At a Mexican food drive through, you shouldn’t have to ask for sauce. Unfortunately here you do or you won’t get any. The girl at the window was not rude, but far from friendly—no apology for the wait, no smile, no interaction beyond what was absolutely necessary. Unfortunately this experience has not been uncommon for me with any Filibertos location. HORRIBLY managed, if managed at all.
