This is a fun atmosphere to dine in. The decorations around this place are really over the top if you actually take the time to appreciate them. I can't imagine how long it must have taken (or how many artists were involved) but the murals alone are super impressive. Combine that with countless paintings, trinkets, and knick knacks and it is really quite festive! My wife and I had the chicken mole. It was quite good, not sweet, not too spicy, and portioned just right. Just enough to fill you up after a couple of specialty Margaritas. Drink wise, I grabbed a jalapeno margarita for kicks. It was a little spicy, but actually paired well with the tequila shockingly. The jalapeno on the side of the glass was exceedingly hot so I didn't actually eat all of that, but it was a fun garnish, and you could eat it if you are into that. đ Service was friendly and attentive (but a bit disjointed, we were there with several other people and part of our order accidently went to the wrong table I guess, so everything did not arrive at the same time... They were very apologetic, but we were having fun chatting anyway, so it really didn't impact the experience for us). Drinks came fast and everyone enjoyed what they got. It isn't my first time at a Guadalajara grill, there are several around Tucson, and I was not disappointed, we will continue to come back for more.

We have been here numerous times. This was by far the most ridiculously rude service we've ever had, and we believe it was because we requested water (first) & we said we might get drinks with our meal, during the time that we had our salsa/chips we never once got our water refreshed/refilled, nor did we get asked if we wanted more chips, Yet the table next to us, had their drinks refilled three times, they were seated after us, & got their food ahead of ours, perhaps they ordered online ahead of arrival, however we ordered 1 combo platter of fajitas, asked for extra tortillas so we could split it. We both are from a food service background, we know how hard it is to work in restaurants (especially in monsoon/off-season) yet the server was dismissive, & flat-out rude, inconsiderate, & made it very apparent that she thought our order, & presence was of less importance than the other 5 tables that she visited with efficiency, refilling & checking on each of them while completely neglecting us, because we order water & 1 entrée for the two of us... I still gave her a reasonable tip; however, it should have been even less for the blatantly inconsiderate treatment that we received. We asked for our food to go after seeing the table next to us have their drinks refilled a third time, while we had empty glasses, & no chips, and the server actually looked at us with a pitcher of water in her hand, & she turned away & tended to other tables. (Oh, BTW we tipped the woman who made our tableside salsa in cash, & very well.)

This was my first time at this place, and what better way to gauge if a business is a doing well, than to visit it on a Friday night? The place was literally packed! However, fortunately, we didn't have to wait at all to be seated. There were certain key gestures that were memorable to me about this place, the first one being the handmade salsa and chips. The lady who was making this in front us, made a mild version and a spicier one. I went all in the spicier one, and boy was this addictive. I almost stuffed myself up with the chips and salsa, even before we had placed the order for the main meal! After annihilating the chips and salsa, I ordered the chicken chimichanga, and this was obviously too much for me to finish in one sitting. The food was fresh, service was prompt, the drinks were good, and the ambience was enjoyable and entertaining. We even had a mariachi band perform a couple of songs in front of us as we were eating. My only complaint was the waitress who took my drinks order didn't take it down correctly, as I had ordered something completely different. Upon telling this to her politely, she refused to apologize and said that she brought out what she was told to, basically stating that I ordered the wrong drink. Oh well, can't have everything great I guess. Definitely worth a visit though! :-)

Our New Go To Mexican Restaurant!!! We've found our go to Mexican restaurant! We just bought some property in Tucson and will be relocating soon. This trip was our scouting trip and our search for a Mexican eatery is over! I've been to a number of Mexican restaurants in my 20 year military career and their tableside salsa service was great! I don't know why other restaurants don't do this. I've heard that the guacamole is just as good. We were warmly greeted both times... yes we went twice in the week we were there! I don't remember the server on our first trip, but both the gentleman and Samantha were very courteous and always checked on us to make sure we were ok. My wife loved the Coronarita Margarita! lol Since we went twice and there was the three of us, I won't list everything we ate, but just that every dish ordered was outstanding. I will highlight one dish and that's the Burro Panzon! Taken from the menu: "Yep. The ultimate burro- rolled with an oversized flour tortilla and packed with carne asada, grilled Shrimp, bacon, chipotle sauce, refried beans, Spanish rice, guacamole, pico de gallo, cheese and topped with our savory ranchero sauce and sour cream drizzle" It was huge and amazing! We will be visiting this location and the others when we relocate. Give them a try!!!

Wow!! Driving through Tucson and had to detour off our route to come here. So glad we did. I didn't understand why they didn't bring the salsa out right away then realized that it would be made fresh right next to us and that was so well worth the wait! Of course we had to get the fresh guacamole which was also made right next to us and was completely amazing and definitely more than what we could eat in one sitting. I got the shrimp scampi salad, which I will say I probably would not get again.. It's not that there was anything wrong with it, but it was definitely an interesting combination of food temperatures and tastes. My husband got the tres Banderas and we ended up sharing his. Yum!! Update: Here's the menu item from the Prince location: Shrimp Scampi: Shrimp sauteed in garlic butter with sliced red onions & bell peppers served over spinach & romaine lettuce with creamy chipotle dressing This is listed with the salads but I should have read the menu better. Either way, it was much better the next day when it was all cold. :)
