We did take out and were disappointed. To begin, they gave us the wrong meal. We called them and they begrudgingly offered us to drive back and swap it out, which we did. And, instead of having it ready when we got back, they waited until we arrived because they said they didn't trust that we'd actually return, even though that is what we agreed on the phone. So we had to wait another 15 minutes. This translated to a hour wait to eat our take out dinner, which defeats the purpose of take out. Worse, we ordered two meat entrées, which were notably light on meat and heavy on vegetables. They did nothing to make it right. They offered no discount or extra rice or anything. And, they're expensive. Over $43 for two take out meals with no drinks. Even the rice costs extra. The food wasn't bad flavor-wise, but for that price and service we'll go somewhere else next time. UPDATE TO SKY DRAGON'S RESPONSE: Dear anonymous person. Thank you for the reply. While I paraphrased the trust comment, you did not start cooking until we got there. So, you’re wrong about that. And, you’re wrong about the phone call. You were not particularly enthusiastic about offering me the swap out option on the phone (you were irritated, not cordial)…most likely because you’d have to suffer the financial loss of the erroneous meal you’d already prepared…so “begrudgingly” was a pretty solid adverb choice in this case. I guess I could have written “reluctantly” instead. You made no apology on the phone. In fact, I’m betting you’re the same person on the phone as the one who wrote the response. So, you'd be better served to withhold your sarcasm about fast food restaurants. When we arrived, you said something more like you "wanted to be sure we were coming before we started cooking". And, again, you did nothing to make it right...and your combative response is even more indicative of that...so thank you for proving my point. You had a chance here to win me back. You could have apologized and offered me a coupon or something. Instead, you're trying to discredit me.
And, thank you for reminding me about the vegetables. We didn’t actually ask for more vegetables. We asked for extra bok choy with the chicken dish. That didn’t mean we wanted less chicken. And, obviously, we didn’t request extra vegetables in the beef and broccoli. So, there’s that. And, of course, by the time we finally got the chicken meal home, the beef and broccoli was cold.
To be fair, at the end, the young lady who actually brought the food from the kitchen did apologize. I’m not sure why you’re bringing this up though, because I wasn’t disputing that. I didn’t even mention it. Her apology was appreciated. However, if you think an apology is the same as “making it right”, then you should consider a course in basic customer service. Funny side note: when we went back, we actually hinted you might consider doing something to make this right, but your response was that we wouldn’t have to pay anything additional. So you’ve missed the point twice.
And, again, to be clear, your menu is ala carte. I’m used to getting rice with the meal. Just want everyone to understand that when they order from you, if they want rice too, they’ll pay extra. You have this clearly marked on your menu, so I don’t mean to imply this was a surprise. But, when I weigh it against your combative attitude, the meal wasn’t good enough to merit the extra expense or another pass at...
Read moreDon't bother if you don't like 'sweet' hot sour soup, breaded Chilean seabass (who covers an expensuve cut of fish ?..the fish was apparently frozen so wasn't even cooked thoroughly and it was $25.99!), half the sampler was over fried..ribs and egg roll were dried out, at least shrimp fried rice was very good as was the spicy shrimp. Everything had a sweet over tone though. Don't complain about anything because you become the bad guy and they tell you you're the problem child and want you to apologize and kick you out if you don't! They're never wrong. They're food is different and if you don't like it you can leave. They'd be happy if you never come back. Should have read the reviews first. We only mentioned the hot sour soup was sweet and you'd think the sky had fallen ..waitress girl immediately said 'you're paying for it' in a terse manner to which my husband said no we're not. She said you touched it..my husband said how would i know if i didnt taste it ?? Then it escalated from there. Owners came out at the end when i went to pay the bill and asked me to tell my husband to apologize to her staff !! I have never in my entire life ate at a Chinese restaurant where the owners have no humility and don't care about how customers feel. Owners are young and entitled and have a take it or lump it attitude. She said they do just fine when I said I would leave a negative review. Guess they managed to be 'successful" so they don't have to put up with any unhappy customers. I was so excited to see a new restaurant take over the spot where Pacific Cafe had been but very disappointed. Oh well the owners are right we'll definitely be taking our business elsewhere. It was expensive as well. Over $100+ for 2 people. Oh they did take off $2.99 for the soup so generous ! I'm sure this review will provoke some sort of verbal diatribe from the owners...

And to all the picky reviewers that bash on the place and the service. I don’t understand what you see or experience bad there. If your having a bad day and feel the need to bash the food and service there, maybe you should just get westernized food like panda instead of getting authentic Chinese cuisine.
Keep up the amazing work Sky Dragon cuisine and all you cooks and servers there. Only you guys know how to make the customer’s experience a fantastic one. See you guys soon and have my XO fried rice ready for me haha.
