Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Tucson

The first time we had a sub, it was out of this world. Since then we have gone back three times hoping that it would taste as good as the first. Every time there was someone else making the sandwiches. The first group made the sandwiches perfect, subsequently, there was too much lettuce, then the bread was too soft, then not enough dressing, this last time there was way too much oil, and the bread was thin like paper! Don't know where the people who made the first sandwich went, but since then, it's been horrible. So sad, was really hoping to find a sandwich worth buying more than once.!!!

I did contact the company, and they did try to make it better. The problem is that they inundate the sandwiches with oil, which makes the bread soggy, and when you open the sandwich and try to eat it, you have oil dripping everywhere and you can't hold the soggy sandwich?

I tried one more time, this time there was (I believe) a manager named Eddie.... the best customer service I have ever gotten! He explained why the sandwiches had to be made a certain way, but that we could request the dressing/oil on the side. We could also ask to NOT put a ton lettuce, so that we oculd taste the sandwich.

We will go and buy sandwiches again but ONLY IF...

I ordered ordered a couple of subs. They normally have avocado. But since my wife is quite allergic to avocado I told the first girl that the second sub of which I got gluten free because my wife is allergic to gluten, not to put avocado on it. The second girl who went to put together my wife's sub put on all the makings then went to put on avocado. I had to tell her three times before she paid any attention. By that time she had started to put avocado on the bread. So after I got her attention instead of getting new bread she went and tried to scape it off. Put it together and put it in my bag. When I said that if my wife was more deathly allergic to avocado and you did that she could be on really big trouble. The other girl said yeah she probably would be But they never even tried to fix the situation. I told my wife and she said that is really high on her allergy list but since most of it is off don't go back in cause I won't die. Next time I may ask for supervisor or higher. If that happens again. That is a major health issue. I like this place but that kind of behavior is...

Those of you who haven't tried a Jersey Mike's sub are in for a treat. This is not a bargain basement type of sandwich place. This place offers nothing but the absolute best of the best in good quality. If you are from Jersey, you will be ecstatic, as this is the absolutely authentic Jersey food experience. The meats are all sliced fresh for each order, and absolutely nothing is pre prepared. The bread is fresh, the meats and cheeses are fresh, the Cheesesteaks are the best and most authentic Jersey style fare you will find outside of New Jersey itself. Again, not cheap food, but worth every single penny spent! The staff is always great, the service fast and accurate, and they practice safe covid19 protocol.
