Lucky Wishbone — Restaurant in Tucson

For the first time visiting a Lucky Wishbone, I was impressed by the ease of ordering (kiosk or cashier). The restaurant was clean and the workers were friendly. I ordered a sampler box with chicken fingers, steak fingers, shrimp, fries, and toast. I really enjoyed the toast, fries, and shrimp. However, I did not like the flavor of the chicken and steak fingers. They tasted like they were fried in the same oil as the gizzards and liver. So, the chicken and steak tasted like fried liver. It was an instant turn-off for me and I couldn’t finish the sampler. They need to keep their cooking oils separate to avoid flavor transfer. Ive been gone fron tucson az for 20 years and one of my favorite places to eat was lucky wishbone, pulling up to this establishment there was a stray white dog circling in front of the door until about 5 minutes and older man ran him off, not even a employee of the restaurant. Now im inside i dont remember it being so simple, glass case featuring bottle waters and sides, staff real young, no real customer service, food was wayyyy to expensive but i was ready to taste this food i had as a young adult, grew up on. When you get tired of all the other fast food, be sure to try LW. After having lived away from Tucson for years, I am back and finally got to eat at LW again. I did the sampler that had shrimp, steak fingers, chicken tenders, cole slaw and garlic toast. After all these years, the great quality is still the same. They are not a chain or franchise business, so you will only find them here. They were selling fried chicken before it became so popular.
