From the support of local vendors and businesses to the quality of the coffee and drinks, Sonoran House beautifully represents Tucson’s vibe. I always enjoy the cold brew, prickly pear matcha, and assortment of Houlden’s Rise Above pastries. This new location (opened July 2025) is coveniently located about half a mile from UA’s campus. It features ample seating, whether you’re meeting friends for a morning coffee or scoping out a spot to study or work. It has high ceilings, but the music and acoustics are quiet enough that you’ll be able to hear each other. When I visited on 7/6/25, they had converted what used to be a deli counter into a sleek bar space, and they informed me this bar space would feature small bites and drinks in the near future. Looking forward to visiting them again soon! (PS: coffee—like most other things—is universally expensive in an era of failed economic policy. Their prices are lower than any global coffee chain, in fact. Please think twice before using pricing as your basis for a subpar review of a restaurant or...

A Hidden Gem for Coffee Lovers and Cocktail Enthusiasts Alike

From the moment you walk in, this place instantly charms you. The atmosphere is warm, stylish, and effortlessly curated—from the lighting and modern decor to the carefully chosen music that sets just the right tone. Whether you’re here for your morning coffee or an evening cocktail, the vibe never misses.

The coffee is smooth, rich, and clearly made with care. I had a cold brew that was perfectly balanced with flavor—no bitterness, just bliss. On the cocktail side, the menu is creative without being overdone. I tried the espresso martini (a must!) and it exceeded my expectations.

The staff is welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely seems to enjoy what they do. It feels more like being hosted than served, which adds to the overall experience.

This is the kind of place you want to linger in—catching up with a friend, reading a book, or simply soaking in the aesthetic. Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates great drinks and a space that feels...

If you love coffee, you have to try The Sonoran House! ☕️ Their in-house roasted beans make for one of the best iced lattes I’ve ever had—I loved it so much I went back for seconds. Smooth, bold, and perfectly balanced.

The food here is a complete bonus. The Breakfast Crunchwrap and Guajillo Garlic Chicken Melt are made with fresh, local ingredients and full of Sonoran flavor. Portions are generous, so come hungry!

What makes the experience even better is the vibe—local Tucson and Arizona-based, a warm atmosphere, and friendly customer service that makes you feel right at home. There are plenty of tables and inviting spaces to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee and conversation with friends.

And if you’re looking for great, local Tucson items or gifts, their market is fantastic; ceramics, candles, wine, craft beer and more.

For exceptional coffee, tasty bites, and a true Tucson experience, The Sonoran House is a...

Lovely new restaurant with fantastic cafe drinks and lunch options. Perfect place to meet with friends or coworkers for lunch or even to go study as a student. The caprese flatbread is wonderfully flavored and the Tri tip sandwich nice and big. Love the Sonoran fog drink and the lavender lemonade is refreshing as well. Very busy during the lunch hour and the food comes quicker if you don’t mind talking or chatting with your lunch date while you wait. Several entrees are pricey for lunch, but there are good balanced options on the menu nonetheless.

What a lovely new spot! The market (including homeware, wine, and local artist goods) is extensive and interesting to browse, the pastries and drinks are delicious, and all the baristas are wonderful. I made a mistake with my drink order and Shala (apologies if incorrect spelling) very kindly helped me so that it was what I wanted. Thank you! Great place to chat with friends or work - plenty of tables, counter space, and a comfier couch/armchair corner too. Easy & free parking in the lot nearby. I have a feeling I'll be here often!
