From the support of local vendors and businesses to the quality of the coffee and drinks, Sonoran House beautifully represents Tucson’s vibe. I always enjoy the cold brew, prickly pear matcha, and assortment of Houlden’s Rise Above pastries. This new location (opened July 2025) is coveniently located about half a mile from UA’s campus. It features ample seating, whether you’re meeting friends for a morning coffee or scoping out a spot to study or work. It has high ceilings, but the music and acoustics are quiet enough that you’ll be able to hear each other. When I visited on 7/6/25, they had converted what used to be a deli counter into a sleek bar space, and they informed me this bar space would feature small bites and drinks in the near future.
