Worst place in Tucson to do business unprofessional they nickel-and-dime you on everything the cells should be 40-60 but yet they give you the lowest amount and they sell it for the highest amount I've been doing business with him about 3 times they had me waiting for a couple months to do some business and then they pull the card .. they got audited for $9,000 very unprofessional then call them at 1:30 pm let's talk to the other business owner seemed all nice and handy right when I got on the phone with them instantly tells me we just got audited we're not buying anything till next year lmao . so they had me waiting for two months when I knew I was going to come back they pull that card. I would be careful when you go in there it's way overpriced and they don't want to do the Fair thing. They didn't want me to see what they had sold some of my stuff for . So...

This store has something for every budget. We saw items from just a couple of dollars to many hundreds of dollars. The unifying theme here is vintage Central American kitsch. The store is fairly nondescript on the outside, but when you walk in, there are a series interconnecting rooms full of anything and everything that seems to just keep going! I don't have little kids anymore, so I give this advice rather gingerly - there is a massive amount of delicate, breakable items in this shop. So, make your own call on this subject.

To really do the store some justice, you need to plan for at least an hour to see everything and even that will only give you enough time to focus on what really catches your eye. The staff were super friendly and...

Amazing place! James and Kevin have done a phenomenal job curating their spectacular collection of treasures for sale. Incredible "depth and breath" of art collectibles is the phrase that first comes to mind. No doubt others have already provided details on their wares. Suffice it to say that whatever piece of Mexican period/collectible folk to modern piece of art, furniture, or decorative item you are looking for can be found at Arte de la Vida. And the neatest of all is that just about every piece they have for sale probably has an interesting story to accompany it. Oh, and before I forget: they do amazing charitable work for our community...

So fun to walk through. Friendly staff! It's a great place for gifts for friends/family who want a beautiful creative and artistic piece of Mexican culture and southern western style. They have tags on some pieces on where they are sourced. I didn't see anything about fair pay to those individuals but I also didn't ask! I bought postcards for friends and I really loved the cardstock/paper used. Would totally return to get more. If I had more income I'd definitely buy that wooden hot chocolate whisk holder. Loved it!

I was looking for traditional items for my ofrenda and was blown away by how many wonderful things are in this shop! You'll find many quality, vintage items - art, decor, masks, pottery, clothing, milagros, Tarahumara baskets and crafts, and so much more. The owner is very knowledgable about the folk art of Latin America and is very helpful. I got my paper marigolds, papel picado, altar pieces, copal and charcoal and I look forward to returning soon.
